Great little spot, very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, and friendly service. I love Vietnamese food and I have to say, those in-house wontons were out the gate.. a top notch dining experience !

Best Asian cuisine in Wellington by far. The meals are so flavourful and unique β if youβre into asian cuisine you will def enjoy IP MAN. Their fries are so well seasoned, and the pork buns were especially delicious for the appetizers. The Vietnamese pho noodles are incredible, and so was the chicken cashew stir fry 11/10. The environment is nice and cozy, with caring staff and friendly chef

Update October 25 - brilliant Vietnamese beef pho! Recommended to keep the Wellington wind at bay / thank you team IP Man! Always 5 stars - food is lovingly prepared and atmosphere warm and inviting. Recommend the salmon too !

My Prawn Pad Thai was okay. There was nothing wrong with it, neither was it amazing. It was very saucy and it had a good number of prawns. My wife said her duck was too salty for her. Unfortunately, she did not enjoy it. Both dishes were quite pricey for what they were. We wouldnβt describe the portions as generous. The service was good. The young lady that served us was professional. The venue was quite eclectically decorated which was fun. My wife loved filming it for her social story. We travelled here from the Hutt after this place was recommended to us.

I recently dined at IP Man in Eastbourne, New Zealand, with my family. While the overall experience was decent, I found the restaurant to be lacking that special something to make it truly outstanding. The appetizers served on trays were good, but the main dishes were rather average. Specifically, I was disappointed with my fried rice, as it turned out to be excessively salty. My companions also shared similar experiences with their meals. One aspect that stood out positively was the amazing interior of the restaurant. It had a fun, communal, and relaxed atmosphere, aligning with their "everything-goes attitude." The dining space was dynamic and modern, creating a perfect environment for after-sunset eats and a potential post-work hangout. It provided a great ambiance for enjoying a drink and snack on some appetizers. However, I wouldn't choose it for a main meal, as I believe it doesn't justify its price point.

Been there before and had the massiman curry which was lovely, but this time decided to try the fried rice dish as a takeaway, it was dissappointing. The rice was all mushy and overspiced and very overpriced, we didnt finish it. I think they should start a small $20 takeaway menu. The other takeaways close by are pretty average and ipman could do well with this. Just an idea.

Found this hidden gem whilst exploring our new neighborhood. A+ for everything from the Bruce Lee photos, customer service, food presentation, delicious taste to the assorted cool table settings. Definitely one to keep for our regular eatery joint.

The food was nice and tasty. The staff were friendly but made some very basic mistakes. They badly need some training and there didn't seem to be any systems. We felt the 2 servers were very naive or playing dumb.. I'm not sure but they were too scared to take charge of a situation. Felt like nice staff but bad management. The menus were a bit dirty but the toilets were nice and clean, the lighting is a bit dim so you need a torch to read the menu. Because the food was good we would eat there again.

Oh what a great place.....food is fabulous...the owner is committed and takes the time to meet the patrons. I asked for a specific wine that he had only one bottle of. I went back tonight after 2 weeks since my first visit and he had brought another bottle in...just in case I returned....need I say more....this is a must.....and there is an awesome supermarket across the road

It was a unique experience and world-class taste! The pork bao buns were so filling and the sauce was so good. You should not skip the Ip Man duck! It is the best seller and well worth it! A must-try! I am amazed by the richness of the taste! You should definitely try it.
