“Stumbled upon this gem while on a road trip in Welly. We had the bibimbap and pork yukgaejang - blown away by the generous amount of ingredients in the dishes and the rich flavours. Even with the lack of variety in their side dishes, the main dishes compensated for it as they were packed with ingredients. Will revisit if passing by!”

“Fantastic fish, with good size fillets for the fish n chips. The Chinese menu is extensive and are also fantastically cooked. Staff certainly know their stuff. Wait time is reasonable at around 10 minutes for most orders on a busy night in Waterloo. Fresh fish can also be bought here and also when in season Bluff Oysters. The entire place is spotless from top to bottom.”

“Anyone who asks for the best Peking duck in Wellington, this is where you come! They have the best chef from Beijing and you get so much meat! You can choose "one way", 2 ways (Peking duck with noodle stir fry) or 3 ways (duck bone soup) basically just use the rest of the duck and not wasting them. We got the 3 ways and the soup is nice and refreshing, noodles we could live without but it's fine. Bonus is their cold dish mung bean noodles is the best I've ever had and love their stir fried eggplant with mince stuffing.”

“My wife and I had their mee goreng last night. I had the combination meat, and she had seafood. W-O-W-! Without a doubt, the best mee goreng either of us have ever had. The portions were generous and I remember thinking when it came out; "great, I'll take the leftovers home for tomorrow's dinner", but it was so delicious, that I scoffed the lot! The bloke who served our table was really polite and attentive. Do yourself a favour, and get that mee!”

“This place has been around for years use to walk past in my teens and use to order takeaways in my younger adult days. Now in my 40s we visited from Christchurch recently and stopped in for dinner, and owner was there and greeted us (swear she hasn’t aged). “I used to skip this restaurant because of its low rating, but it completely surprised me — I was wrong! This is my second time trying their dim sum, and I felt compelled to write a review. The portions are generous with plenty of fillings, and everything tastes fresh and absolutely delicious. The salted egg yolk custard bun is a must-try, and the polo char siew bun were tasty. “I have been here multiple times having tried Chicken Chow Mein, Garlic Prawn Noodles, the double pattie burger, chips, jam donut and the deep fried mars bar. Have not been disappointed yet, friendly service, only had to wait longer than expected for my food once (which is really impressive), great food (garlic prawn noodles is my favourite) and the shop looks clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend.”

“Five months ago I had a bad experience here, the quality was far from it's former glory. However, I went back today and I am pleasantly surprised. The quality of the food has been restored. The fish was battered and cooked to perfection and the chips were hot and crispy. Will definitely be going back. I am not sure what has changed, but I hope it continues. Very satisfied”
