Steamed dumpling was okay but obviously better to have it at a yumcha restaurant. The overall price of the menu was also not cheap. I expected too much.

Great food and friendly service. We had sweet and sour pork, Singapore noodles, and chicken fried rice.

I'm a long standing & regular customer to this owner-operator business who's seen a few changes to serving staff, and therefore (guessing here) ownership? Prices have climbed to new heights in 2024 while food quality has clearly taken a dive. Hoping this feedback helps the business though since the place is convenient and has been very popular with the locals. Disclosure: i've discovered by word of mouth better fares at similar prices in wellington.

Bought Chicken Fried Rice and Sweet n Sour Pork. Both cost a whopping $23 each. Fried Rice had a sprinkle of finely chopped chicken and the rice was still white. Tasteless. We had to add Soya Sauce at home. Feel ripped off.

Felt just like being in Southern China! Absolutely love this restaurant β€” it’s a true slice of Cantonese Culture. My partner and I had lunch here the other day. We enjoyed their Portuguese Tart, Baked Wife Cakes, and their Vegetarian Rice Rolls also known as Ha Cheung in Cantonese. The Portuguese Tart was creamy, caramel-y, and flakey in all the right ways. The Baked Wife Cakes were filled with glutinous rice and winter-melon pieces. Exceptional! The Vegetarian Ha Cheung was stand out β€” chewy rice, savoury veggie filling, and a moreish sweet soy sauce over it all. Very nostalgic! I’ll definitely be returning to try more dishes and delight in the atmosphere again soon. Vegetarian options! Just take your time to wread the menu and ask if needed. Notes: When it’s busy you might have to wait in line. Grab a table when one is available, it might not be cleared yet but just wait. Someone will come around, no need to call them over. Order Pickup β€” you’ll either get a number or a pager. Listen out carefully for your number! It’s also a small space with lots of tables, customer chatter, and kitchen sounds. Be prepared to embrace the sensory overload or get takeaway and find somewhere less sensorial to eat.

It's basic but delivers. Cheap good quality chinese yum cha during the day is nice.

I had tried three dishes with my friends. Oh dear, got so thirsty straight after finished eating it. That is how much MSG they had added into the food.
