The best fish and chip shop I have ever been to in my life and I have been on this planet a long time !!! I don't even live in Lower Hutt, which is probably a good thing
Great quality fish and chips, the food taste very good and not covered in oil like some other places, everything tasted fresh, please keep up the high quality fish and chips and we will keep coming back, prices are also fair, highly recommend this place!!!
We love their fish and chips, sometimes things are missing from our order though but otherwise great tasting food
they make my favourite burger even though it is not on the menu, the chips are great, the regular fish is also good, when i want fish, burger and/or chips this is my go to store. I used to ring my order in but now I just walk in. I do not mind waiting because I know the food is going to be excellent. Thank you Reel Fish!

New owners last year were struggling to cook decent f & c but they turned it around pdq and have provided great quality f & c & last week I even tried bluff oyster that was cooked perfectly with a very light batter which did not take away from da oyster, they are now very popular and waiting times for orders can be long, sadly tonight they broke the cardinal rule and never announced my order of $32 in my wait and would not have got my f & c if I had not asked them to check where my order was, all in all I would still recommend them in the hope that they understood my disappointment with what happened good luck please find a solution so it doesnβt happen to others. Thanks for all the previous great fish & chips I will return
had fish n' chips from here for a lunch shout at work. big, meaty pieces of fish, excellent flavor, not too "fishy," cooked just right so the batter was super crispy but not crunchy and overcooked. good-sized pieces of fish. hot dog was just as good. highly recommend.
Five months ago I had a bad experience here, the quality was far from it's former glory. However, I went back today and I am pleasantly surprised. The quality of the food has been restored. The fish was battered and cooked to perfection and the chips were hot and crispy. Will definitely be going back. I am not sure what has changed, but I hope it continues. Very satisfied
Went there today to buy the family pack for $11 The lady owner cooked the fish and chips but never let it sit on the top of the deep fryer to drain off the excess oil, so I got oily fish and chips
