On the plate at Gengy's Restaurant Tauranga, the idea is burger‑led and well judged. Cakes and scoops finish things neatly. Eggs land on point and toast keeps its crunch. Combinations read bold but stay balanced.

“We've been here multiple times this past year, including for my birthday, and they've always delivered yummy food and great service. I will say that the last time we went, there was a large group and they were quite delayed in serving our drinks & dessert cocktail, but this was a one off, and I still think of Fox's as one of the best places to grab a bite. Their menu is quite inventive - both the drinks & the food - and their weekly specials make them even more enticing. You won't regret a meal here!”

“Hosted at the showgrounds there's plenty of shade and space, the stalls are a great range of gourmet food stalls, with food trucks and Hawthorne coffee for delicious breakfast options too. Dog friendly.”

“this trail was easy to moderate and had some uphill parts and flat parts. its a very fun and interesting trail as it has a mix of walking through forest, bush areas and open flat areas. the views are really nice throughout the whole walk too!!”

“Two years ago, Spiga was the place where we had our first date. Now, as a married couple, we returned for lunch, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. The cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and exceptional service made it a truly special experience. Fungi Pizza was absolutely incredible—hands down the best fungi pizza in Auckland! The crust was perfectly crispy, and the mushrooms were so fresh and flavorful. We were so impressed that we asked the staff where they sourced their mushrooms. “We've been here twice in the last month, and had a great meal each time. The new owners are really friendly and nice, and the bar has a nice coast atmoshere. On the Halloween night they had a dress up session with prizes, and Nelly was perfect as an Angel. The food is all great. I highly recommend the pizzas and the steak. Both are excellent. If I had to make one improvement suggestion, it would be to perhaps get a a wider range of craft beers. But generally this is a great place that I highly recommend.”

“The Island Bay Marine Education Centre, also known as "The Bait House", is an interactive marine experience based in Island Bay on Wellington's south coast. As well as there being lots of different sea creatures on display (including a couple of octupuses, sea horses, crayfish, turtles, a grumpy blue cod to name a few) you can also handle starfish, sea cucumbers, sea anemones, crabs and other sea life found un the touch pools. There is far more inside than you would expect from the outside and the volunteers whi wirk there are very friendly and helpful. It is really reasonably priced ($5 for adults, $2 per child) and we were all entertained for ages. Really good fun and educational too. Definitely worth checking out with the family.”
