“Great area in front of the beach especially when summer time! There are football area, bbq area (but the bbq grill didn’t work when we are there), toilet area behind the cafe (not too clean but still useable), cafe is nice with various choices of food, ice cream and milkshake. There is small pond with lot of ducks, don’t feed them bread please. We saw tracking area, maybe someday will back to try the track.”
“A lovely park to walk right the way through or stop and sit in the rotunda and admire the view. A bird aviary and kids pool and playground plus toilet block can be found within the grounds of these gardens”
“I nice quiet little park with shaded seating, bins and toilet facilities. Lots of fun equipment but the slide stairs are rounded and not very great to climb up. Kids loved it!”
“Went to the Hagley Oval to watch New Zealand vs England. Fantastic venue with easy access to the botanic gardens and the city.”
“Great park great playground. Loads of fun and have a toilet near by. Beach is not far away”
“What a great place to go with the family. Great beach with lifeguard, playground pool and mountain bike trails. Huge amount of walking tracks through forest and along the wetlands with lots of birds. The beach is huge and great to drive along. Highly recommend.”
“Nature walk located opposite the Hamilton Zoo, A lovely quiet scenic walk with plenty of bird life and a small lake, toilets available”
“Walk my dog here most days, awesome area for daily exercise, only thing that ruins it, are people ripping up the grass on dirtbikes.”
“One of the best places for cherry blossom viewing in Spring”
“This playground is superb, fairly recently refurbished, although some of the equipment is in need of repair, the flying fox used to be a fun double, but looks like it's been decommissioned. There is an in ground bouncy pad that's been boarded up. Still plenty to do though, water play and slides. There is a pump track around the playground, and a full size BMX track next door. There are also some walking tracks around the lake if you feel like a stroll. Watch out for little kids gravitating towards the water. With the water backdrop it's the most picturesque playground in hamilton for sure! We saw a sign to some toilets behind the netball courts, but unsure if they are open to the public.”
“Awesome time and greatest time watching the balloons be put up and the kids loved it as well”
“Nice park down by the sea. Has modern toilets, a playground and a small boat ramp (only any good when tide is in). Also has picnic tables and a a security camera for public safety presumably. Nice place to sit and eat fish n chips. Gate gets closed in the evenings. The shutting time depends on the season.”
“Great place to freecamp next to the water. Toilets are only 1min walking distance. Bbq and drinking water available.”
“Awesome place. Mini Golf, Train rides. The mini golf is affordable compared to others I have been to or looked at. Big playground and field to play on. A fountain. A nice place to hang out”
“Stunning. We just happen to stumble across this beautiful bit of history on our E bikes. I'd highly recommend going out of your way to visit.”
“New set up works great for the kids, highly recommended”
“Great facilities, we run our Henderson blood drives here at te pai”
“Nice park and the biggest slide for kids to date I saw”
“Noisy traffic but futuristic design makes up for it.”
“Nice for a short walk if you live nearby.”
“Nice and big park for kids. It has big and small slides, swing, and a nice place to ride a bike or scooter here. No public toilet.”
“Great park for kids not sure what one of the obstacles was lol”
“This is a nice park with a great kids playground and plenty of quiet little paths. A spacious park, trees and stream, walkways, toilet, and next to soccer field connected by a beautiful bridge, easy off-street parking for visitors, all for free. Really recommend!”
“Great place do visit, wasn't expecting to find such a diverse and interesting place but a local mentioned it and I'm glad they did. If you have young kids they'd live it for the animals and there are very good coffees and food to be had in this complex. St Andrews Church also suits beautifully nestled into this stunning area. Well worth stopping.”
“awesome off lease dog park... lots of other dogs and owners. many places for dogs to sniff, run around and swim.”
“Good place to have a picnic and also good breeze in the summer time”

“Good flat area. Smooth concrete path all around outside of park. Great for walking etc. Also a small playground for kids.”
“It's just in front of my house, good for jog , picnic, for boating also. When I tried to access the toilet in the morning its locked tho. Good playground for kids also.”
“Growing up, I always heard mixed things about walking through Myers Park — but after the recent updates, it feels completely different. It’s brighter, cleaner, and feels much safer now. Great to see the space being revitalized — it’s actually a really nice spot to stroll through again.”
