“Even I didn’t come here for much, I was stressing because I had a flat phone! The staff were nice to let me use a plug to charge my phone into :)”
“Wow! Had such a fantastic experience with Fun Flicks Cinemas for my daughters 13th birthday. Easy and quick to set up, it was a joy to see my daughter and her friends faces light up when we put on her favourite movie. Will absolutely book again!”
“This location significantly surpasses Takanini, and its cleanliness consistently meets high standards. If you want better comfortable seating Manukau is the place to go, Takanini is a joke, I'll never go back their it's disgusting, Manukau has always had high standards, and service is high as well.”

“Great guy, good work at resonable price”
“Great, and private theater and Katelyn performance”
“Most amazing dance studio. Fantastic teachers and great vibes all around!!!”
“It's a good cinema. Very quiet during the weekday, which I like. Staff are friendly. It's over two levels. The foyer and games arcade is on one level and the theaters on another. The seats are a bit small for me as a bigger person, but generally comfortable with a lot of space between rows. All the latest releases and a good Asian selection (Bollywood, Korean, etc.), which you don't normally find at other theatres. There is 3 hour parking outside the cinema. I'm quite impressed.”
“We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this Event Cinemas location. The big wide screen and the fact that it wasn't crowded made our movie experience even better. We were particularly impressed by the service provided by a gentleman with a beard who worked there, although we didn't catch his name. He went above and beyond to assist us. We visited around 1:40, and he finished his shift at 5pm on sept 19, 2023. We can't express how thankful we are for his exceptional service. It's worth noting that only a few staff members were as accommodating and helpful as he was. We hope you consider hiring more staff members like him in the future.”
“I was the only person in a massive two-story theater at 4 p.m. and had the time of my life. The screen was HUGE. Best seat for me and definitely my best movie experience yet. Unfortunately, they don't sell sweet popcorn. I would still go back in a heartbeat.”
“This is the cutest little boutique movie theater with only 15 seats! I loved my visit. It's indoors and nice and warm with blankets as an option, just in case you need it. You can get food and drinks from The Lab and take them through into the cinema. I highly recommend that anyone check it out. I'll be back for sure. Lots of parking and toilets nearby.”
“What a great location for so many different arts activities”
“The best cinema in town. This is so cute, vintage and a dream to visit an old time community cinema with so much soul. Love it!!!!”
“I love supporting small and local businesses. Amazing coffee plus free marshmallows for the little ones and so good not to have to take the kids out of the car. Yummy breakfast muffins too and now they have a coffee rewards card. Always a friendly face and great service. Love this little place.”
“Great theatre with lovely volunteers running great movies”
“Love this cinema and Robin chooses some great movies, taking the time to introduce them and give some insight into their making. It’s always a treat. Not many places where you get a complimentary cup of tea and a bikkie.”
