I especially enjoyed the sauces, which were incredibly tasty and elevated each dish. The cocktails and wines were also fantastic, creative, balanced, and just the right touch for a special celebration. The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. Overall, such a memorable evening. Highly recommend for a refined yet relaxed dining experience!”

“I visited here during a visit to Auckland when I wanted some connection with the Jewish community. They were lovely and welcoming, and when I was crushed to find out there were no bagels left, Sam specially found me their very last one and gave it to me free of charge. It made me so happy at a difficult time. The bagel was amazing! Plus the pickles, bagel chips, and matzo ball soup were all fantastic. For a perfect little slice of Jewish culture and delicious food, you can’t go wrong here. Cheers Sam!”

“Perfect wee cafe in a lovely location. The staff are absolutely lovely and welcoming, encouraging us to take a seat and peruse the menu. They informed us of several daily specials too. I opted for the Chilli Scramble with a couple of pork and fennel sausages. My son had the salmon eggs bene and his partner a half portion of the same. Coffees were great and food delicious. A very clean and tidy eatery. Would definitely come back if visiting the area again.”

Had a little Mishap,but the Chirpy guy at the counter,Continued to be Enthusiastic,n carried on Helping Me. They have a Big Variety,and Selection,of Liquor amongst other things. “Our first time here and we were very pleased with the ambience, food, staff and prices. The place filled up quickly with customers, but it didn't slow down the dishing out of food. The owner was walking around talking to the patrons and the wait staff were quick in attending to tables and bringing out orders. It was very very windy and cold outside, but with the windows closed and the heat pumps on, it very pleasant inside. Will definitely visit again, but maybe in summer when the weather permits us to sit outside and enjoy the beach!”

“Lovely cafe in Takanini. Awesome service, right from the get go & it continued until we left. So much to choose from, but of course I had to give the classic eggs benny a go, it def didn’t end up classic at all! Perfectly poached eggs on a herb hash brown, delicious sauces. Highly recommended! Perfect mocha & banana loaf to end our celebratory meal. Would def go back to try the rest of the menu. Check this lovely eatery out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.”

“Tried their food for the first time and absolutely loved it. First Indian takeaway that catered for the food the way we wanted it. The chef made our meals exactly as we wanted them. He knew the true meaning of mild, medium and hot. Front staff are friendly and courteous. They also have a selection of sweets and snacks. Highly recommended.”

“Hands down our favourite local takeaways. The quality of food is brilliant (burgers are my favourite) and the staff are lovely. They are really busy on Fridays at peak times (because it’s so good) but staff are always super friendly and helpful. We make sure to order around 5pm on a Friday for shorter wait times. We’d prefer to enjoy dinner from an owner-operator place like PL rather than a chain restaurant any day!”
