“One of the most delicious coffees I’ve had in the last 6 years in Auckland. It was rich, shiny, and full of flavor. As a coffee lover who’s tried countless coffee shops, this one easily gets 10 stars. I will come back . Cheers”

On the plate at The coffee studio, the idea is coffee‑and‑cabinet and well judged. Outdoors works when the weather plays along. A sensible spend for the spread. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy.
“Excellent strong hot coffee. The coffee often has really artistic flower art on the foam. Really good 'old school' food, cakes etc”
“Great food options! Friendly staff! Well maintained space! Awesome job guys!!”
“Awesome lovely people and delicious food”

“I thought I knew delicious pies until I went to Spelt Bakery. I got the Chicken, Chutney and Brie pie and it feels as if my eyes have been opened. Thank you Spelt, this was an honour.”
“Upon stumbling upon this coffee shop during my search, I found it to be a commendable choice! It's a delightful spot to savor a delicious cup of coffee accompanied by delectable sweets like their irresistible brownies and cakes. Additionally, the abundance of street parking nearby adds convenience to the overall experience. While it may not have been my ultimate discovery, it certainly stands as a solid option for a cozy coffee break with tempting treats.”
“A hidden gem in Churton Park! I stopped in at Simmer Café and was seriously impressed. I had a mocha and a cheese scone, and both were outstanding. The mocha was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced — not too sweet, not too bitter. The cheese scone was fresh, warm, and full of flavour — one of the best I’ve had in Wellington. The staff were welcoming and the café had a great local atmosphere — clean, relaxed, and clearly a favourite with regulars. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!”
