“Amazing coffee! Tiny place, perfect place for a take away.”
“A perfect flat white made with locally sourced Hohepa milk. The owner is a fantastic friendly guy who surfs longboards. They do takeaways, but I'd recommend taking a load off and enjoying your relaxing cuppa in-house. Highly recommended.”
“Seriously great coffee. First time I’ve come here and couldn’t have asked for a better coffee to start 2026!”
“Very good coffee and a delightful cheese scone-I tried some with jam and it was great lovely sweet and savoury combination. The birds were at the ready for any dropped crumbs. Some nice artwork on display as well.”
“Such an awesome little spot for coffee with a view. It was super busy when we arrived but still welcomed with great customer service. Basic cabinet food- only 1 option for vegetarians. The milkshake was a 10/10 would definitely have again!”
“Such a beautiful space to spend a day workin away on my laptop (or hanging out with friends, or a meeting/workshop!) - so spacious, a swing and table tennis with baker Scott. And beautiful food. Feels like home, a community place. And the most beautiful interior, feels exquisite!”

At Faith Hope Love Malaysian Eatery, the menu stays Thai-inspired, served with an easygoing pace. Noodles arrive glossy and well seasoned. Sides like naan and rice tie the meal together. Desserts close the meal with familiar comfort.

“I see the lovely team here almost every day. Best coffee, best staff, couldnt ask for better neighbors! I recommend them the most!!”
“Nice pastries and crazy good firsthand coffee. Seems the kind of place that you would find in Italy for a cuppa and walk the dogs and meet a local for a chat.”

“Friendly owners and staff. Lovely food.”
“I always have to stop in when passing by this little gem. The staff are always welcoming & great to deal with. Their Biltong & Chilli sticks are made to absolute perfection with a great kick of spices.”
“Found this place tucked away in city center. We had one of the best lunches during this trip. With a 100 % GF Menu, the place is testament of how to do great food regardless of dietary requirements.”
“The best place for a breakfast in Hawkes Bay. Unbeatable prices, amazing toasties, old school hotdogs! What else can you wish for? Free parking, Ocean views, and the smell of melted cheese... Ah, Its beautiful. No wonder why I'm coming back every week. Pro tip: Try the streaky bacon toastie with the breakfast hotdog. Or as the locals calling it: The Double Trouble”

“Finally found our new coffee place since moving to Taradale. If you are after a nice coffee and a snack, this is 100% the place to go. Great staff were very welcoming and attentive, had a cappuccino and Apple and Blueberry Muffin (best blueberry Muffin I've had in Hawkes Bay) to share with my partner in the nearby park. Looking forward to our new weekend ritual.”
“Lovely spot to stop on your drive up the coast. Fresh fruit & veg plus stellar coffee. The owner is wonderful too. Recommend!”
“Fantastic breakfast place with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options ranging from smoothies, bowls to bagels and toasties and even breakfast porridge. You can customise you own toast with whatever you fancy. Granola bowl and Smoothies are delicious. Coffee is good, but bit bitter for my taste. Service very polite and friendly”
“I was shopping around looking for a bakery to do gluten free cakes for a future event and I came across a review for gluten free items at Frimley Bakery. WHAT? No way! I went there like 7 years ago and I could only get a $9 toastie (good but $9 in 2018). Today they have a whole shelf of GF items and there is savoury and sweet. I got a whole spice loaf for $7.50!!!! It is soft and yummmmmm!”
“Mamas Donuts are by far the best ive had. The ladys there are awesome and they have a wide variety of selections. I could not recommend them more ❤️”
“Thanks for the great coffee and good vibes!”
