   We are Christchurch based and have had a coffee subscription from Empire for almost 2 years and never looked back. The coffee beans are better than any others we have tried and still make great coffees even as we get towards the end of each month before the next bag arrives. The coffee is roasted within the last day or so before it is shipped to us so is super fresh. We love supporting a local business and really enjoy the handwritten notes that sometimes come with the order. Great work guys! :)

   Such amazing coffee, we just had to stock it in our Coffee Cart in Southern CHB as soon as we opened the doors. Not only is the coffee exceptional but so to is the service and support that Ethan provides. Don't hesitate to call in when you are in Napier. You will not regret it!

   The only reason I didn’t give Empire 5 stars is due to the prices. They’re slightly higher than in the city, and I don’t understand why. Besides that, the flat whites that my partner and I bought were very tasty! I appreciate that they don’t up-charge for decaf. Our barista was kind and the ambiance is nice. If you’re looking for a coffee shop in Napier with easy parking access, this cafe is for you!

   On a cooler day, one would hope the door stays shut, it didnt. Manners were used yet customer service from the bearded guy was revolting cold and rude. You should have shut early if you were so bothered by me coming in 10 to! Opening the back door to deal with the rubbish was very inappropriate as the smell rushed through the shop vigorously that I almost through up my cake! That made me want to leave asap. Then again, that was probably your plan all along. Rude, stuck up, ignorant and just didnt have a care in the world. I feel sorry for you young man, you clearly was having a bad day and resulting in my review.
