As someone who enjoys fresh bread and baked goods, the moment I stepped into the bakery area, I was greeted by the irresistible scent of freshly baked bread and pastries. The entire section was inviting, and the layout made it easy to browse and pick out exactly what I wanted. The bakery was exceptionally well-organized, with a wide variety of items displayed neatly. There was an impressive selection of freshly baked bread, ranging from traditional loaves to specialty options like sourdough and multigrain. The breads were beautifully arranged, and it was clear they had just come out of the oven, with a perfect golden-brown color and soft texture. The variety made it easy to find something for every taste, and everything looked incredibly fresh. The pastries were equally impressive, with an assortment of sweet and savory options. The shelves were stocked with everything from buttery croissants to fruit-filled Danishes, and each item was carefully placed to make it easy to choose. I particularly appreciated how the bakery section was not cluttered, and the items were placed in a way that highlighted their freshness. The labels were also clear, making it simple to find what I was looking for. The staff in the bakery were friendly and approachable, offering assistance and helping me with some product recommendations. “A spontaneous stop on the way to Chartwell & my friend & I were glad we did. A cafe that is airy, clean & spacious..nothing over the top fancy, just simple, comfortable & peaceful. We shared: egg sandwiches, sausage roll & apple strudel. Well..the tastiest egg sandwich in a long time, & had to be the best strudel I've ever had..yum & only slightly heated perfectly. My friend enjoyed her coffee & I changed my mind at last moment from coffee to try an iced chocolate..it was delicious with good amount of chocolate..nice chocolate too. I will be back when on next trip from Whangarei to visit family..for sure. O..I also brought a macadamia toffee n chocolate cookie which I ate on travel home that evening! Yum. Lovely staff! Footnote: I wrote the above over 2 years ago..I still pop here every time I'm in Hamilton..their Ginger crunch is the best..but not to eat straight away-let it come to room temperature soo best to takeaway..I suggest. Haven't had macadamia toffee crunch for ages though..I just remembered about this treat after reading the review I first wrote.”
