“We were expecting a fairly basic cottage, but the photos don't do it justice. Once inside, it's HUGE: a very large living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a very large bedroom upstairs. And to top it all off, a wood-burning stove with some logs made the place just perfect. It was splendid. On top of that, our host, Alan, is a wonderful person who gave us a fantastic welcome. “We spent three nights at this fantastic location with bush and water views overlooking the Otago Peninsula. Close to the quaint Portobello Village with pub, cafes and restaurants as well as easy drive to Penguin Place, Monarch Cruise and Albatross Centre. Comfortable bed, big bath, well equipped with everything you need. Shaun is a wonderful host, very welcoming and informative about the local area. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Loved the bird table and birds that came to visit.”
