“Amazing food, 100% recommended. I am choosy and these guys are awesome. Real, authentic Thai flavours; No weird chunks of carrot or celery, no gross frozen seafood mix, just real squid, prawns and mussels in the salads and tom yum We got the whole fish in curry sauce and it was excellent. Super good and large portions.”
“Friendly owners with good full of flavour, the highlight was the spicy noodles which were cooked al dente and the pork Chinese burgers which was packed full of flavour”

“I love the amazing selection of pies you have. Even Duck. It's up there with the Fairlie pie and the West Coast Pie. My 2 Fav pie places. The pastry was flaky, crisp and well cooked. The pies I tried actually had large pieces of meat. Not your normal lots of saucy gunk and token meat. If you were closer to where I lived I am sure I would visit more... Perhaps that is a good thing weight wise. Good luck in your venture and current location.”
“Our room was clean, modern, and had everything we needed. It's a busy area but still quiet. Walking distance to a really nice mall and McDonald's. The people running it are very nice and helpful. I definetly recommend staying here. We used points to stay, but the regular price is really good!!!!”

“Lovely simple menu, food was delicious. Chicken was juicy and not overcooked and the salad was delicious and fresh. The overall atmosphere was great. Perfect place for a beer as the craft beer distillery is adjacent to the caravan. My sweet pet rabbit has just passed away and the table number was really perfect. ❤️”

“Unreal brunch spot, chicken cheese melt reminds me of prime Fortnite days, simply perfection. Never been more of a brunch man than I am right now. Top stuff”
“We went here only once, during our quest to try all 100% vegan spots in Christchurch, but definitely not because of the food or coffee quality. In fact, the breakfast we had, (Pancakes and Big Brekky) was absolutely delicious. The coffee was flawless, too! I wish we would have had more time to try the asian dishes, as well. Next time!:)”
“We’ve had the BEST pizza in NZ here so far! It's a lovely restaurant with a unique history and good food. It's a must-visit when in Lincoln. Be aware that they’re not open every night.”
“We spent the first night of our trip at The George (after much hassle with flight delays, which the team was extremely accommodating for!) was one of the most spectacular nights of our trip! The service was unmatched (Thank you Matt!) and George bear will be our travel companion forever! It was the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate after a long journey and breakfast the next morning was spectacular! My only complaint is that I couldn’t stay forever! I would come to Christchurch just to spend a night here again!”
“A very unique café with an internal garden that creates a small indoor sanctuary. There’s also a designer clothing store right next to it, adding to the charm. You’ll need to book in advance if you want a good spot, as it can get quite busy on weekends. I’ll try to come early next time to fully enjoy the atmosphere. The coffee was decent.”
“We went out to a recommended restaurant for dinner, and the experience was wonderful. The waitress was exceptionally warm, gentle, and welcoming. The dishes take some time to be served since everything is prepared fresh, but it is absolutely worth the wait. For starters, we ordered: – Smoked Burrata with strawberries – beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. – Wild Mushroom Gyoza, served with sesame sauce, chili oil, and an Asian-style salad. An excellent dish, with perfectly steamed dumplings. For the main courses, which are the restaurant’s signature dishes: 1. Fish of the day – salmon, served tender, delicate, and absolutely delicious. 2. Braised Beef Cheek – slow-cooked with miso and sweet potato purée. The dishes were outstanding, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. There is both visual elegance and exceptional taste in every plate. Of course, we couldn’t leave without dessert. We ordered the pudding, which is their signature dessert, and it was excellent as well. We enjoyed the meal so much that we will definitely return to enjoy this wonderful food again, clearly prepared with great care and passion by the chef.”
“Lovely shop. Busy but coffees were incredibly quick and well presented. Impressive stuff. Food was excellent as well. Edit 2. Another stop at the cafe. Cute to go cups & the barista on the machine is a consistency machine. Props to him. Cafe could use another carpet or two. Something to help with the noise.”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely outstanding! Purple Weka Café is hands-down one of the best spots in Christchurch. The coffee is consistently excellent, smooth and perfectly made every time. The food is generous, fresh, and full of flavour – real Kiwi-style portions with that homemade feel. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with staff who go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Whether it’s a quick coffee, a hearty breakfast, or a relaxed lunch, this place delivers every single time. A true local gem – can’t recommend it highly enough!”
“Love this place. The food is freshly made the coffee is very well made and the staff are very friendly. The chef Ryo know what he is doing. The food is tasty beautiful and down to earth. It is not expensive especially for the size of the portions. The coffee was smooth and very nice. Definitely worth a visit even if it means a detour.”
“Great fast service, most clients are heading shows as perfectly placed for a pre show meal. Recommend booking as small restaurant and previously we have not been able to get a table. Food delicious, tasty and friendly team.”
“One of the nicest places in the city for Sunday high tea brunch. French creperie with multiple choices of both sweet and sour French crepes, including some vegan options. There are plenty of suggested options, but you can also go wild and create your own one. Crepes are really amazing, very tasty, good size portions and amazing taste. It’s really great that there is vegan options available, made of buckwheat. If you have not enough of sugar you can finish with a great desert selection. Coffee is slightly bitter and not the best blend , but tea selection is perfect.”
“This place is my absolute favourite! The food is always made to perfection – easily the best souvlaki in Christchurch! I tell everyone I know about it. I don’t know how they do it, but even when there’s a big queue, my order is ready so quickly. The regular chicken souvlaki with feta is my go-to, and it’s always so delicious that I finish it in no time. The service is consistently fast and friendly. Thank you so much – please never close!”
