It's hard to get a good hot chocolate these days but this one was perfect! The new caramel latte was also scrumptious and the staff so friendly. Nice and warm inside on a winter's day”

“Lovely friendly guy. Had the chowder and full of good stuff but on this occasion a touch to salty for my liking. There is a full menu though at very reasonable prices so will def be back in the new year to try other items. Choice of sunny outside dining or sheltered inside and a daily paper to read. Recommended.”

I've met there with different groups of friends and they've all said they'll be going back. Ada, Shea and Parn made us feel so welcome, they are an asset to the business.”

I will always make an extra effort to go there. I also love the table with extra soy sauce, ginger & wasabi (no extra charge) which is unheard of these days. “I've been frequenting El Faro (formerly Cafe Metro) since the relaunch with the new owners, for the last couple of years. Each visit has been a delightful and consistent experience. Great variety of food, all delicious, fair portions and prices. Staff are always friendly and upbeat. I've also enjoyed the variety of one off menu specials that celebrate other cultures and countries. This non cafe goer has been slowly coming around thanks to El Faro. My thanks and gratitude to the Team!”
