Had a bit of a disaster the first time around, but the owner reached out directly. We had a do over and it was pretty good. The service was quick and staff attentive. Had the big breakfast and the serving size was amazing. Only downside is poached eggs were over done and the bread is a bit too crusty to cut up.

The staff were lovely, great service. The food was just ok, reasonable portions but nothing out of this world. Coffee was luke warm, could have been hotter but otherwise a nice coffee

A Brunch to Remember I had the pleasure of visiting Savoire on Father’s Day, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. The first thing that struck me was the warm and inviting atmosphere, complemented by the friendly and attentive service. The baristas here are exceptional, crafting coffee that is nothing short of perfect. The food, however, was the real star. We opted for brunch, and everything from the cabinet looked fresh and inviting. The a la carte menu did not disappoint either, with dishes prepared from scratch—a detail that adds a special touch to the meal. When I asked the staff, they mentioned that everything here is made from scratch, whether it’s the salad dressing, the chimichurri with the lamb salad, or the aioli served with the fries. This commitment to quality was evident in every bite. We sampled a variety of dishes, and each one was outstanding. The eggs benedict were perfectly poached, with rich hollandaise sauce and a bed of fresh spinach that added a nice touch. The smashed avo was another highlight—creamy and flavorful, served on crunchy toast with a generous sprinkle of feta and a hint of chili that made every bite delicious. I ordered the big breakfast, and it was absolutely spot on. The dish featured an abundance of mushrooms, perfectly cooked bacon from Peter Timbs (which I consider the best in Christchurch), and homemade hash browns that were simply to die for. Each component was cooked to perfection, making it a hearty and satisfying meal. My dining companion chose the lamb salad, and it was exquisite. The flavors were well-balanced, with tender lamb and fresh ingredients that came together beautifully. Overall, Savoire delivered a fantastic brunch experience with top-notch coffee, amazing food, and impeccable service. It’s a spot I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable meal.

Went there at midday, very busy, I would have sat outside but it is winter and a bit chilly. Food was good and the staff were lovely. Due to being very busy it was a bit noisy inside (conversation noise), not much staff could do about that.

Always a good coffee and a nice selection of sweet and savoury foods. Good outdoor area in warm weather where you can bring your dog while being respectful of others. Lovely staff.

Chose this Cafe based on reviews and photos... but its very over priced $13.90 plain ham/cheese crosissant lighly warmed, $6 reg mocha no marshmallows, warm not hot, date and orange scone $6.20. Over $25 for a quick lunch...unfortunately I wont be back.

Had a lovely catch up with my brother who was passing through Christchurch. Staff very lovely and suggested popular breakfasts for him when he couldn't decide. Place reasonably busy but we never felt rushed. Will definitely visit again.

Located near the carpark of merivale mall. Indoor and outdoor seatings available. Order at the counter and pay first. Took good 20 minutes for the food to arrive at our table, but drinks were fairly quick. Standard service quality not particularly friendly or attentive. Food is average quality and price, nothing bad about the place. One good thing we noticed is that they use biodegradable take away cups.
