I ordered eggs Benedict it was really bland and bacon was overcooked. Probably wouldn’t get something from their kitchen again. But I really like the cabinet food. Had tried a beef brisket pie from here and that was really good and so were the muffins.
I've been frequenting El Faro (formerly Cafe Metro) since the relaunch with the new owners, for the last couple of years. Each visit has been a delightful and consistent experience. Great variety of food, all delicious, fair portions and prices. Staff are always friendly and upbeat. I've also enjoyed the variety of one off menu specials that celebrate other cultures and countries. This non cafe goer has been slowly coming around thanks to El Faro. My thanks and gratitude to the Team!
Service was great, so was the coffee especially the Iced Spanish Latte. However very disappointed with the food. Ordered the Huevos Rancheros and the Spanish Eggs. The Huevos Rancheros came out like a bean soup. Poached eggs were all overcooked. Corn chips were all broken up. The cabinet food looked more promising but we didn’t get a chance to try it. Our first impression was as a bit of a let down. Everything else was really good but the food just wasn’t :(
A nice place and good coffee. Portuguese tart was just ok and not so authentic. Cheese scone looked great but tasted bland and not much flavour.
Always love coming here lovely staff ambience and super clean. A bonus that we can take our dog
The food was delicious and good coffee . I had salmon quiche and husband had salmon Omelette both really yummy. Nice to look out at the sea .we really enjoyed it
Food was nice I had a ham and brie croissant and a spicy chai . Service was friendly
Food tasty...cabinet selections no menu. Staff friendly and helpful but a little slow to remove dishes. Allowed us in with my dog. Would go for light lunch and coffee again
My locale whenever I'm in the area, they're super lovely there and the service is always amazing! :) The coffee and food is always great as well! I've recommended this place to a fair few people now :D
