“I had the best day at Yawara Ramen bar. The ramen is affordable and super delicious (some of the best ramen I’ve ever had as someone who has been to Japan). The portion sizes are generous and even the regular leaves you more than satisfied. The staff were super friendly and down to Earth. I had some wonderful conversations with the man with the kuma (くま) on his shirt! After lunch we went to the cafe section of the restaurant and bought so many treats that were equally as delicious. Extensive matcha menu is something I would like to try and will definitely be back. I loved it at Yawara Ramen bar!”

“Stunningly beautiful food. The best Japanese restaurant in Auckland, hands down. Exceptionally fresh seafood prepared with such care and skill… attention to detail across all elements of plating and service… a warm, relaxed yet higher-end dining experience - it’s one of the best meals out I’ve ever had. The food was just immaculate - after tasting this tempura prawn maki you understand what this dish could be… so juicy and massive and generous and fresh are those prawns with that tender perfect rice and light tempura crunch paired with the creamy avocado - it’s just incredible. The sake selection is also so beautiful… there is so much crap sake floating around Auckland… this is the standard of excellence. We had such an amazing time. It’s a really special place.”

“Have been coming to 39 for a while now and have never been disappointed. Renee and the team are fantastic, friendly and hospitable. Always there to charge ya vape, quick to refill your drink happily and have a pack of cards handy along with many board games. Looking to park yourself up for some drinks? Defs recommend 39!”

“Been wanting to go here for a while now, and it absolutely lived up to my hype! Quaint 80s/90s American Diner type place and that vibe is immaculate, combined with the feeling of being in a busy little eatery in Japan. Runs like clockwork, too. Their "Dr Pepper" burger is unbelievably good! Already packed with so many good quality & some interesting ingredients... and then the jus they top it off with is so flavourful and much in quantity, makes this burger unlike any other. Bit messy to eat but thoroughly enjoyable and super filling, especially with the plenty of very well seasoned fries you get for $3 extra. Their handmade Creamy Chicken and Bacon pasta is also fantastic - simple ingredients, perfect cook and exactly what they say they are; nothing more or less. Very reasonably priced, just considering the quantities of the servings and quality of ingredients & cook, but the flavour especially stole the show and made it well worth the cost!”

“I lived across the road for about 8 months and frequently visited Vero Cafe. I can honestly say it's my favourite Cafe in Auckland! The owners are very friendly and the food is fantastic. Sitting outside in the sun and enjoying their delicious all-day breakfast and great coffee was the highlight of my day.”

I have tasted lots of burgers in Nz but this place cmon living whole of my life in south side and I didnt know about this place. Come and try . “Had lunch on Monday, food was delicious. Service was very attentive and thoughtful. We were offered blankets if we were too cold and complimentary hot water with lemon. Food was excellent, great flavor, texture and value. Had lychee pork, tofu salad, wings, their plain 'burrito' and tried their homemade kimchi. All were delicious. My recommendation - nothing here is that spicy, if you can handle pepper you'll be fine. The wings (pictured) was one of the spiciest items on the menu but I found it less spicy than sriracha which they provided. This is not a bad thing, try all the items without fear of spice. Will go back again. Worth a visit!”

“This was a great meal to end our time in New Zealand. The restaurant has a nice and calm atmosphere and the service was excellent. “Wow! What an awesome find! This is easily the best Thai restaurant in Auckland. Our favourite mains are the Pad see ew and Green curry, both are always so delicious and fresh. Highly recommend their money bags as an appetizer! Everything is cooked to perfection. The owners are amazing and so friendly. We also called on Top Ten to cater for an event, and they went above and beyond for us. Their portions were generous and the price was great too. Thank you!”

“Was visiting the area and ended up trying this restaurant for lunch. Was an excellent choice with amazing food and great service. The goat curry and chicken dum biryani was really good. The Desi style butter chicken quite good too as it wasn't sweet at all. Would definitely like to revisit and try other items on the menu.”

“Amazing coffee and cheese scone! would recommend booking in advance as on weekend they can get very busy, lucky to get a table without booking the other day. had salmon dish and creamed paua, the price is def higher for the portion you get but the quality and taste makes up for it. and the coffee is def the best in Auckland imo, I would come back even just for a cup of coffee and cheese scone. They are also pet friendly, so easy to take your dog walking around marina afterwards”

“The coffee was amazing, very nutty and chocolatey. The food is also great, the hamburger uses chicken thigh which makes it very juicy and delicious. The fries are also great, very crunchy! The baked Spanish eggs is very flavourful and savoury, a very heart warming dish indeed, great if you’re looking for something that’s soothing and hot✨✨”

“A hidden gem in Gleneden, if you are after tasty fried kchicken look no further. Dined here for dinner as first timers after reading reviews and now we understand why this place has a high rating. Very friendly customer service. We were welcomed with big smiles and served right away. Sushi was 100% tasty and the fried chicken with mini hashbites were the best I have had. Flavour and coating was just too good, you know the chicken is good when you dont need to add the side sauces on. Prices very reasonable too. With a wide range to try.
