   Very very cute little place with an excellently put together menu. Smaller menus always shine because the chefs know how to do it well!! Has outdone any other ramen I've tried, and the service and atmosphere was so nice and cozy. Tonkotsu miso ramen and tonkotsu shoyu ramen were both incredible. Kaarage chicken baos were also very good and we were very full by the end. Great value for money! Will definitely be back.

   Family run small restraunt with the best food ever!!! yes please?!!! i’ve never tried such authentic flavourful food in my life. truly a new favourite. DELICIOUS.    Authentic Japanese Ramen, a gem a little away from Orewa hot streets. The thin noodles imported from Japan. Soup and toppings Fried Chicken, are also great. Choose large Ramen if you feel like eating. Japanese Decoration and service make me feel like in Japan…

   The Tonkotsu Shoyu was fantastic, the broth is very rich with a great balance of sweet and salty flavours. Partner enjoyed her vegetarian Shoyu too. Seating and table presentation is immaculate, the solid wood place mats are a lovely touch. My only small quibble is the eggs are hard boiled and not the Ajitsuke tamago you typically get at other ramen restaurants.

   I had the best day at Yawara Ramen bar. The ramen is affordable and super delicious (some of the best ramen I’ve ever had as someone who has been to Japan). The portion sizes are generous and even the regular leaves you more than satisfied. The staff were super friendly and down to Earth. I had some wonderful conversations with the man with the kuma (くま) on his shirt! After lunch we went to the cafe section of the restaurant and bought so many treats that were equally as delicious. Extensive matcha menu is something I would like to try and will definitely be back. I loved it at Yawara Ramen bar!

   Nice little hidden gem, this place is well worth the stop by! The Karaage was very fresh, tender and crunchy, the takoyaki was filled with generous amounts of octopus and the Ramen was beautifully made. We will definitely be stopping by here again in the future.
