“My two children started their first swimming lessons with Waterlions around Covid time and I considered it was one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time. “Booked the family unit for a weekend and we overall loved it despite a couple of things. Spa was massive and also gated off. Heatpump works perfectly to keep yourselves and kids warm! Definitely had to have it on as the blankets are thin. Would recommend bringing your own or blasting the heatpump. Plenty of towels provided. Water pressure for the shower is okay. Dining table was a little wobbly but seems like it's just missing 1 screw. Wasn't sure if i didn't know how to use the elements or it just stays on one heat setting, HIGH. Nice sized porch and plenty of outdoor chairs to use. Found one cockroach under the couch and still waiting for deposit.”

“I've lived in the Shore for years and this was my first visit to this beautiful place. We went for a reiki traditional Maori healing mirimiri, the koha is $20 and well worth it, my husband and 4yr old son also participated. It was easy to find, lots of parking and we will be returning to try their vegetarian dishes in the cafe :)”

“We have used Mt Richmond hotel multiple times over the years. Never had any issues or anything that can't be fixed. Staff always are friendly and willing to help. Food at the restaurant is constantly good and tastes yummy. The chiefs always pop out to check how the meals going. Would recommend to anyone. Bonus there's a pool and hot tub.”

“The buildings are getting a bit tired however a major bonus was the natural springs private spa (not all rooms) It fills with very hot spring water and if you've got the time it's best to fill it 3 hours before you're going to use it so it can cool down without needing to dilute it with fresh cold water.”

“We have stayed in this amazing homely beach house a couple of times now, it is beautiful inside and out, all the home comforts for summer or winter getaways, close to all the amenities, the beach is just perfect and close to enjoy walking and taking in the environment, The place is immaculate although we are only a couple perfect for family as this place caters well for the family. Little touches like muffins on arrival these little things go a long way. Will always be back. If I could have given more stars I would Thank you making our time so special”

We have been lucky enough to have extremely skilled teachers over the last four years who have built relationships with my children and encouraged them to love swimming and be safe in the water. “We purchased a Bosco 380 & dealt with Enoch Chand, Auckland. From the first email I sent requesting information, Enoch has been amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. He answered all my queries in a timely manner. We did have a slight problem but Enoch dealt with this quickly and efficiently. “I chose this place for its central location and was pleasantly surprised by how wonderful it was. The staff were welcoming and accommodating and the room was very comfortable, with all the amenities for a long-term stay including a washing machine, dryer, oven, and mini dishwasher. I would definitely book this place again if I were to return to Auckland.”

“Stayed at a beautiful house on Mangatawhiri Road, Omaha managed by Omaha Holiday Homes. Place was amazing. Beautiful outdoor living and huge kitchen. The house was clean and well maintained. Jason kept us up to date with information even gave us a late checkout. Highly recommend this place for a special event with family or friends. Will he using them again in Novemeber, can't wait.”
