“I was passing by looking for a coffee and found this place. It’s really busy with all of the paraphernalia but gives the place its charm. They had 6 different flavours of red bush tea which I do love but $14 per 100g. Coffee was average but enjoyed a free tea while I waited.”

It’s easily one of the best I’ve had. The presentation is beautiful, and the texture is just right—light but indulgent. The store itself is warm and inviting, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Whether it’s for a celebration or a treat-yourself moment, Gateau House delivers every time. “I accidentally found this cute little cozy cafe right opposite Farmers, the lady at the cafe was so friendly and had warm smile. I ordered an iced latte & crispy chicken popcorn from their menu. The latte just hit the right spot & the chicken was just too good, crispy with a hint of sweet chilli sauce, amazing combo! I spent $ 14 in total and also got to get some work done with some jazz playing in the background. I’ll definitely visit again.”

“John was really informative and knowledgeable about his coffee. He was really nice to share his coffee knowledge with us and i would say his panama bean coffee was the best coffee i had ever had in Auckland. It was fruity and delightful , not giving after burn taste that i usually had from other coffee shops. Will definitely back and thank you John for your hospitality.”

“Great morning coffee and Pastry. The Date scone was unfortunately not cooked through but they did apologise and tell the baker. Coffees great and the Almond Croissant rated highly along with the Chocolate Twist.”

“We were a group of 3, we ordered bbq ribs with wedges salad, grilled fish with roast potatoes salad, lamb shanks with mash and Veges for our mains. Amazing dishes, good portions. The service was attentive. Our entree jalapeño poppers were the best we've had. This is my 2nd time at this restaurant. We all left very happy with our meals! Will definitely be back again.”

They are Very generous and i have nothing to say about the presentation. To add to that, The staff are so friendly too. You also dont have to worry about the parking space.”
