   First time we tried the cookies and cream slab it was divine. Tonight we got the new strawberry slice for 7.90 and the baked cheesecake for about 10.80 Throwing the cheesecake out it's gross, tasteless, very cold, almost like bread. This place is very expensive for such small portions & for that reason we won't be back sorry.

   I ordered a Kumara slice, a Black Forest slice with coffee combo, and a chocolate mango pastry through Uber Eats along with other items . Instead of the Black Forest slice, I received another Kumara slice and a tiny extra piece of mango pastry. When I tried to resolve this, Uber told me to contact the store. When I called, the lady who claimed to be the owner told me I had to bring back the wrong food in order to get a refund. This is completely unreasonable – I shouldn’t have to return food that was delivered incorrectly due to their mistake. Very disappointing experience. Poor customer service, wrong items delivered, and no accountability. I will not be ordering from here again and do not recommend.

   Came here for the first time last Friday as I searched for a dessert shop and this place came up. I loved that they were open late. I purchased a wlice of black forest cake and 2 slices of chocolate mousse log. They were both incredible! We will, without a doubt , be back. The owner was lovely to speak to and had great customer service.

   Gateau House is a dream for chocolate lovers! Their chocolate cake is rich, moist, and perfectly balanced—not too sweet, with a deep cocoa flavour that melts in your mouth. It’s easily one of the best I’ve had. The presentation is beautiful, and the texture is just right—light but indulgent. The store itself is warm and inviting, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Whether it’s for a celebration or a treat-yourself moment, Gateau House delivers every time. I always leave with a smile (and a slice or two!). Highly recommended for premium, delicious desserts

   Purchased two triangle pieces of black forest, first order was delicious and second can best be described as a rip off, not a triangle at all barely wedge, $10 per piece are you kidding me! Sorry but not fresh like the pieces we ordered last time, very disappointed.

   Went in at 6.15pm to order a mocha only to be told by the barista that she had cleaned the coffee machine and would no longer be able to make one. Perhaps look at changing your closing time from 7pm to when it suits the barista?

   Nice and clean shop, with friendly service. Bought baby cream puffs which I found after eating that they aren't fresh. Like 2-3 days old, choux pastry isn't soft and cream is a bit dry. We used to buy these often from other shops and were usually nice and fresh. For $17 I'd have expected freshly made puffs.

   Bought a cake for my son's birthday few weeks ago and guy promised me that fresh strawberry cake will only have strawberries inside, but it was full of canned peaches. I called him next day and he told me that store manager/owner will get back to me but no one contacted me. Recommend double checking ingredients if you are allergic to anything.
