“Absolutely 1000% the best fish n chips in auckland !! Real whole potatoe fritters next to zero grease on the paper REAL BACON on burgers and toasties flavorful won tons fresh fish ... my favorite burger the bacon and egg burger with extra bacon is hands down the best burger in auckland . I'm a big guy and have eaten out everyday for years as I work on the road and this place is in my eyes #1 for fish n chips !!!”
“Tonight I went there for the first time and I have to say the chips? Perfect. The fish perfect and my tastebuds for the super Burger ? Well I’ve never tasted such anything like it before. This place is perfection in every aspect of the word.”
“It was 2022 when I first came here, and back then the food was great and it was pretty decent overall with services and atmosphere. However, when I return today, their quality took on a whole new level. Services are much more pleasant and welcoming now, and although there are inflation, they compensated it with a free drink for just ordering a bowl of rice noodle. Atmosphere didn’t change too much, but it has always been satisfactory. Overall great experience! P.S: food usually takes only 3-5 minutes to serve now.”
“Happy and Greatful to support this family Business”
“Always a pleasure to order from this place. Always service with a smile. Food is always on point and always fast to make. Their chicken nibbles are the best”
“Very delicious traditional Hong Kong, Guangzhou neighborhood style. The portion is big enough for me. The elderly staff team is very enthusiastic and humorous.”
“Doing late shifts at work and having to find a place for dinner rather than lunch glad I came here. Great portion size Roast Pork on Rice is my go to, Fish and Chips are Crunchy on the outside and soft and moist for the fish and fluffy for the chips. They have a whole lot of variety of dishes and great value for money and you can even eat in too, if you're ever around the Mt Smart Onehunga area drop by and check them out for yourself, I'm sure the friendly staff will be happy to see some new faces.”
“Great food variety. Food prices have increased since the a few months ago we had a dine-in here. But overall a good place for dinner.”
“Always good food, Chinese and European Takeaways. Good service, good food, good people.”
“Ordered off uber eats. Wowza fantastic food. Please please keep up the good work. Chips were crispy perfect cooked. Yummy mini spring rolls, awesome pineapple fritters. The chicken salt is an excellent touch on the chips too. Will be back again. Best chips ive had in years. Can tell they care about food quality and cooked with love. Brings back childhood memories of takeaways we used to get. They dont make it like this now. So please go here and make sure they keep going. Awesome awesome place. Thank you.”
“Located upstairs at the Terrace food area. Great place for noodles and Xi'An Roujiamou. You can choose between thin or thick noodles for some dishes. They also have spicy dumplings too. The Beef noodles was delicious and really good value for money”
“Excellent taste. Turned away for oily Chinese dishes. Sweet sour fish has many fresh fruits like pineapple, grapes and tomatoes, which make the sourness complex and various. Good appearances and good balance of sweet and sourness. Dry fish and chicken fried rice is definitely top of its kind. Fried rice is not that easy I could taste shrimp oil, salted egg and dry fish which made the rice rich in flavour.”
“Must go for their Super crispy chicken wings!”
“OH MY GOSH I HOPE THIS PLACE SHOULD NOT BE CLOSED PERMANENTLY!!!!! Well I do like the pumpkin buns and the beef leeks here and some kinds of seafood here well I hope there’s still the same food here but maybe it changed the name of the restaurant???”
“Nice place for Yumcha. There’s no wagon service so all the dim sum are delivered on order, which means they come out fresh and steaming hot.”
“My new fav yum char and i have been to loads of top ones in Auckland. Such great flavour, choose from menu and they cook to order so its super fresh and hot. Its in an old building with great views over the city. It's definitely a great spot for a bunch of people to yum char together.”
“We ordered Hand-pulled Noodles with Stewed Pork Soup ($14) and Hand-pulled Noodles Soup with Braised beef ($14.5). Both of them were so tasty. Hand-pulled Noodles was boiled perfectly. The portion was very generous. Beef and pork were tender. Soup had balance of sweet, acid, spicy and savory flavour. It tasted so good.”
“The food here is good! I don’t know why but I’ve always avoided this place… The honey chicken w/ fried rice will have you hooked. Nasi goreng is alright too, but not spicy enough lol. Give them a go.”
“Great food good prices and good portion sizes. Located centrally in Mt Albert shops the atmosphere is okay the staff is friendly and hard working”
“Lunch menu starts from $22 per dish. A little pricey but understandable as they serve complimentary Chinese tea and soup and the portions were huge! One dish can actually feed two people but we wanted to try both the roast duck and roast pork. Roast duck was delicious and duck oil coated the rice, making every bite a delight. Roast pork was tender yet had a wonderful crunchy skin. Admittedly, towards the end, it got a bit cloying as it was quite rich but the Chinese tea helped in refreshing our palates. Unexpectedly the restaurant is bigger on the inside and looks like any typical Chinese restaurant. Service was fast (don't blink) - received our food within 15 minutes. Staff were pretty welcoming upon our entry into the restaurant and assisted promptly when we needed anything but otherwise left us to our meal, which we appreciated. They also sell various ingredients at the cashier - chilli oil, peanuts, salted fish, duck wings, duck feet etc. May need a translation tool though. A whole roast duck for takeaway is $50 and they very kindly entertained my request to have the bones separated. Would happily recommend and return.”
“Authentic fried skewers, recommended stinky tofu, chicken chops, chicken skewers and QQ chicken racks”
“Best noodles I had! I had the pork one and my partner took the beef (sorry forget the exact names) but it was really good. The meet was well cooked and the soup with the beef was good and spicy! So be careful everyone :) The only downside is that the place can quickly become noisy because it resonates.”
“Yum yum yum! Ordered two noodles. Prawn rice and tonkatsu. Serving was big for 4 of us! Can include milk tea per order which is large I think. Food coma right now. Definitely worth a next visit.”
“Have been here a few times and the food is amazing a bit expensive when you see the price but we'll worth as the amount you receive in each dish is good value definitely my go to when I'm out this way visiting friends”
“Went here for yum char lunch, and it's my new favourite chinese restaurant in NZ. Service was very fast, plenty of variety, and omg the pineapple buns are so delicious, easily 10/10.”
“Good serving sizes and friendly staff. Had by far my favourite cold noodle dish here.”
“Good Service,Food was nicee. Definitely come back!”
“The food is always good and the service is fast, I love spicy and sower and I get a great combination at Eden noodles. Just love it, dine in or take-away. Recommend”
“Yumcha is a favorite way of eating and sharing Chinese cuisine. Imperial Palace is a great way to enjoy a Sunday brunch with friends and family with large tables and plenty of space. There are plentiful dishes to choose from and the staff even comes around with carts like you find in China. The food is delicious and make sure you order tea as it is a must.”
