“Eric Armishaw Park is a fantastic place for a relaxing afternoon. It's got a great playground for the kids and plenty of open space, perfect for a picnic. If you're feeling more active, there are walking trails, a beach for surfing or flying kites, and it's dog-friendly too! For a quieter experience, it's best to visit outside of public holidays and weekends. It's a well-maintained park, and a great spot to enjoy the outdoors. I highly recommend it if you're in the area!”
“Hawkins Theatre in Papakura is now open after refurbishment. Hawkins theatre is a great place to meet with friends and enjoy each others company while catching a movie, school performances, Dane competitions, events and awards, The Glow Show, or a fun time with Operatunity!! You can purchase ice-cream, coffee, biscuits, or wine at the bar. You can take them into the theatre with you also. If you are a senior and purchase your tickets online for the movies, currently they are only $10:00. Hawkins theatre is also a lovely place to take the grandchildren/mokopuna for the movies anytime. There is often a Ladies night, which costs $24 or $26 depending if you purchase in advance or at the door. Thus usually involves a chick flick(however some me do attend) a drink of any kind and an ice-cream. A great deal. Here are a few photos of the April program to pique your interest.”

“Bruce Pullman Park truly shines as an outstanding destination for a day of fun and relaxation! The park is meticulously maintained, boasting ample green spaces that are perfect for picnics and outdoor games. Children will adore the fantastic playground area including the basketball court and the dedicated cycling area. Additionally, there are various car roads that provides a safe environment for those learning to drive. The walking trails are perfect for a leisurely stroll. Plus, the park offers several lovely spots for birdwatching, making it a peaceful haven to unwind and connect with nature. It's a perfect place to create lasting memories.”
“Great facilities. Had an awesome afternoon.”
“Last international act I saw was back in the 80s in the 'super top' with UB40. Boy things have changed. And for the better. Plenty of kiosks & free water. The arena's sound system is 1st class & its probably the way I would like to see acts from overseas.”
“First time visit and I will return, great arts centre, well laid out with some great options. They also run various art classes throughout the year, I highly recommend a visit.”

“A great space to chill, meet, talk, craft, read.”
“We are very happy with Lollipops. Our son has been going here for a little over a year now and he just loves it. The staff are friendly and have always tried their utmost to accommodate our requests. The teachers are just amazing too! They are gentle, kind, and patient - to nurture my son's curiosity for science and nature, they have even set up special experiments. The classrooms are well-equipped with a wide variety of toys and activities for the children. The learning themes for each month are communicated clearly, and we get regular updates about what our son and his classmates are getting up to and learning about each week. It is so reassuring to know that he is having lots of fun while learning, and that he is being cared for and fed so well.”
“This is such an awesome place! I would not have known it existed, if I had not gotten a Grab One voucher. The gentleman at the kiosk is very friendly and helpful. It is truly enchanting, with fun unexpected things to discover. There are little tucked away shaded niches, where you can take a bit of a rest. The grounds are beautifully clean, and excellently maintained. The courses are easy enough for children to enjoy, but difficult enough for adults to be a bit challenged. Great fun!”

“Moore Park is a delightful escape, offering a refreshing blend of natural beauty and recreational opportunities. The expansive green spaces are perfect for picnics, games, or simply relaxing in the sunshine. The well-maintained pathways invite leisurely strolls, and the overall atmosphere is one of tranquility and enjoyment. One of the most charming aspects of Moore Park is its hidden gems. I was pleasantly surprised to discover swings tied to tall trees far back in the field. They weren't professionally made, but they had a certain rustic charm that instantly transported me back to childhood. It was a simple yet heartwarming sight that genuinely lifted my spirits. Moore Park is a wonderful place to spend time, whether you're seeking outdoor recreation or a touch of nostalgia. The park's combination of natural beauty and unexpected delights makes it a truly memorable destination. It's a place where you can reconnect with nature and rediscover the simple joys of life.”
“Good safe park to take my kids. Had a playground and nice toilets with a walking track around the field too.”

“Great little park for littlies and a picnic”
“Stafford Park is home to numerous yellow pohutukawa. They are best from late October to mid November. If you're only familiar with red pohutukawa this is an easy location to see the lesser known yellow ones.”
“Huge park with ample parking and passive spaces. The playgrounds and grounds are well maintained and the rugby fields are a hot spot for sporting events and trainings.”
