A Heartfelt Thank You to ACG Remuera After keeping my daughter home with me for the first three years of her life, the decision to send her to daycare was not one I took lightly. As someone with ASD, I was very intentional about building a secure attachment with my daughter, who does not have ASD. That bond was hard-earned and incredibly precious. I needed to know that any environment she entered would treat her with the same care, respect, and sensitivity that she had grown up with. When she turned three and her communication skills blossomed — to the point where she could confidently express herself — I felt ready to find a place that would prepare her for the next step: attending Dio next year. I visited 38 daycares across Auckland. Yes, 38. And every single one raised red flags — from poorly managed transitions to staff who lacked warmth or genuine connection with the children. It was disheartening. My heart aches for parents who don’t always know how their children are being treated in these environments. Then, I found ACG Remuera. Initially, I was skeptical. But from the moment we were welcomed in by Reina and another kind manager, something felt different. The atmosphere was calm and joyful, and the children? Absolutely lovely — clearly a reflection of the nurturing homes they come from and the respect they receive at preschool. But the real gem for us was Miss Manju. Words can hardly express the depth of our gratitude for her. She is a truly special person — so gentle, kind, and emotionally attuned to every child in her care. You can tell immediately that this isn’t just a “job” for her. The children love her, and it’s easy to see why. She helps them regulate their emotions, speaks to them with patience and warmth, and fosters a real sense of safety and love. What stood out most about ACG was how individualised the transition process was. They never used a “one size fits all” approach. They understood that my daughter had been exclusively with me for three years and worked at her pace, never rushing or pushing her beyond what she was ready for. That level of empathy and responsiveness is rare — and so appreciated. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, respectful, and genuinely cared about the children. I can say, with absolute confidence, that ACG Remuera is a place where children are loved, respected, and supported to thrive. We are incredibly grateful to have found this preschool and will always hold the staff — especially Miss Manju — in the highest regard. Thank you for creating a space where children are truly seen and nurtured.
Our son has been attending ACG Remuera since turning 12 months old in May 2024, and he genuinely loves the place. He is always smiling and happy when we drop him off in the mornings. All the teachers are wonderful and caring.
The kids have enough space to release their energy. The staff are kind and supportive. They provide some interesting courses which I pretty like, such as Playball and Yoga class. Recently, my kid taught me the eight planets, which impressed me a lot.
When we moved from Sydney, we didn't think anything could surpass the excellent daycare that our twin boys attended. ACG Remuera has surpassed all of our expectations. From day one, our family was welcomed into the centre, with the staff providing caring support as our boys transitioned into their new routine. Our boys love everything about it - from the amazing friendly staff, to the large play area and the fun activities. We, as parents and grandparents, get to see everything through Storypark and the good communications from the boys teachers and the admin team. The long day care hours are also very helpful for two working parents! All-in-all, a fabulous place and we are very happy to be part of it!
Both my kids have spent their first 5 years in this center. It has been the most amazing experience for them and our family. Teachers are caring, loving and with a strong passion in education. They have always helped us out when needed and both my kids always felt at home when at the center. I can highly recommend ACG Remuera. This is an amazing day care in a great location. Incredible outdoor facilities with more space than most centres in the area. I have had two boys go through here and both have loved their time. Wonderful, caring teachers and I highly recommend to anyone who is considering a day care for their little one!
My Daughter has been at ACG Remuera for almost 2 years and I could not recommend this school highly enough. The teachers are loving and caring and show a true passion for their profession. The childrens best interest is always the number one priority. By far the best early learning centre I have come across in a long time.
