“Wow. We came here right after we landed in New Zealand from the United States. The staff made us feel so welcome and recommended the best food ever. We got the egg Benedict and the burrito and it was so incredibly delicious. They even gave us special little pastry treats for our travels. So kind, so delicious — 11 out of 10 !”

“This was our first stop after landing in New Zealand, and it set a great tone for the trip. The space has a relaxed, stylish atmosphere, filled with greenery—including an impressive tree right in the center—that makes it feel warm and inviting. We ordered the pork banh mi and a cà phê sữa đá. The banh mi stood out for its flavorful pâté and excellent house chili, both of which added real depth to the sandwich. The coffee was brewed with a traditional phin filter, which I appreciated, though the overall flavor didn’t quite come together for me. Even so, the visit was a memorable and enjoyable introduction to New Zealand’s food scene.”

“Great wee spot, I have been coming since they opened. Rebecca is a sweetheart and makes super coffee.. she's super kind and friendly. You can park right at the door and dogs are welcome. Mix of traditional brunch options lunch, great pies quality ingredients.. they used to do the food at The Fridge in Kingsland. Laksa superb Nasi Goreng... on point Satay and roti great... I have tried most of their Malaysian stuff.. and i am back regularly. I bought home a great carrot cake today. They do very nice salads and counter food... and a slap up english breakfast and eggs Benedict. You can see they have super reviews... and are highly regarded by Auckland foodies in the know.”

“stopped in for dinner on our way home from watching the ALL BLACKS and i must say the owners are absolutely beautiful people, food was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was so peaceful and friendly i would highly recommend the food was delicious and will definitely be back. this place is a must especially if you get into photography aswell the owners both have some awsome photography work on display on the walls and in a few published books our whanau throughly enjoyed it ❤️”

“Best little cafe in Auckland, we are foodies and struggle to find a good little eatery but have finally found a local little cafe that's absolutely satisfying. As I mentioned to Maria our Maori/island cooks are some of the best , pure love is tasted in the food and it makes me proud to see our indigenous people thriving on the shore. “Amazing staff and amazing coffees. I went in with my team’s orders, about 8 coffees and other sweet treats. They whipped up the coffee order in minutes. And the cabinet food was delicious. They got my matcha order perfectly! Going to be regular here now. Thanks for your quick and lovely service ❤️”

“If this rating system would allow me to go higher I would. Excellent service, amazing coffee and superb food. There’s no full menu but with a cabinet packed with choices, you’re sure not to notice. Staff are friendly and attentive. The decor is very tasteful and made us feel as though we were at home.”

“Ordered the Great Big Breakfast for brunch today. Definitely hit the spot, satisfying my hunger pains after a big gym session. Scrambled eggs (extra eggs) cooked to perfection. Breakfast sausage full of flavor, hash brown golden and crunchy. Bacon cooked just right. Staff very friendly and welcoming. The Cafe had a nice warm and homely vibe. Definitely recommend this place if your looking for somewhere nice to eat.”

“A gem of a place, super delicious coffee and incredible cakes and pastries, we wanted to try everything and got a few different bits but the caramel, pear and walnut tart was a definite stand out. We sat outside with Gus the dog and he very much enjoyed it and was very spoilt. Lovely owners and so welcoming and friendly. Thank you for having us, we will be back!”

“I recently visited Neil Cafe and bar and was truly impressed by the outstanding quality of my meal also a very reasonable price especially considering the quality of the ingredients. I had a slow cooked pork belly on mash with fresh salad. The meal was very generous in size and I was sorry when I had finished despite being unable to eat anything else cos I was very full! Seriously it's my favorite place to eat now.”

“What a wonderful place! Their restaurant food is amazing, with great portion sizes! Out of all 4 pictured meals, I can’t say I have a favourite because they were all great. They also have a great selection of cabinet food. The restaurant and cabinet food is naturally a little bit pricey but I am definitely not complaining! The only thing for me was that the iced matcha was very watered down with milk, and therefore was very milky which wasn’t the best. Also all the menus online need updating! They’re really busy most of the time (we were booked in at 11am) and the wait time for our meals and drink took about an hour, but they have a sign outside warning you about the wait time during peak hours. Their service is also really good, most especially from Mike who is just lovely and extremely friendly, and Julian who is nice also very friendly. Do I even have to talk about the atmosphere? I would especially recommend booking a table outside for a nice view out back. The cafe is situated right in the park in a beautiful Homestead and has a lovely little art gallery and shop. I would 100% recommend coming here!”

“The burger you’ll get at Cafe Mocha is the greatest you’ll eat in your whole life. The patty seems to be homemade and delicious, and the bun is perfectly toasted but still fresh and soft. The lady that always serves at the counter is an absolute gem.”
