“Finally , affordable Asian food, recommended for those who wanna taste Asian ingredients,”
“Celebrated our end of year event for work - Great venue off the side of the main pub. Cool seperate bar. Great food and amazing service. The staff were always willing to answer questions and help when required. Would recommend.”
“Easy way to order and pay when you come in, eat in or takeaway… good prices - hubby ordered pizza and I had a lamb kebab… both with sides of fries…DEVINE… fresh, flavoursome and we hope to go back for another meal before we head back to Auckland… bonus of amazing, friendly staff! Thanks guys xxx”
“Highly recommend. I absolutely loved my breakfast. The omelette was delicious and the butter was served at room temperature so it actually spread on my toast. The service was fast but you weren't rushed. Great chilling music played in the back ground.”
“The food is very flavoursome, healthy and varied. The service is usually good and was this last time (not very busy). The previous visit was not as good - not enough place settings, even after asking; we had water glasses but no water, until we asked for it; and we seemed to be a blind spot for the waiter. So either that waiter improved or it depends on how busy it is.”
“Great little spot, very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, and friendly service. I love Vietnamese food and I have to say, those in-house wontons were out the gate.. a top notch dining experience !”
“This place does amazing tasting and fresh sushi! Probably the best sushi in Wellington (potentially also London like my review initially said but that's probably not a useful comparison...).”
“Airport food is usually more miss than hit! But for a change this place is the latter. Had spicy chicken with a salad, and it was delicious. If you’re in Wellington airport and you need something yummy + a good portion size, this is your place! 5 stars!”
“Great stuff. I just think they need a rebrand or a redesign of their place.”
“We buy almost weekly lunch for our home office day and are always very satisfied with the sushi. Easy to come, to grab and go, meanwhile the stuff knows me and always greets me very friendly.”
“I’ve had many subway sandwiches in my time. I’ve had bad experiences, average ones, and a handful of good ones. I’m happy to concede that my time spent at Miramar Subway was one of the best I’ve ever had the god given pleasure of experiencing. George and Chanel (Chanelle? Shanelle? Please excuse me if my spelling is wrong) treated me to the finest 12 inches I’ve ever consumed. The sandwich itself was close to perfection, but the service is what really topped it off. Warm smiles were shown, a few jokes were cracked, and I left feeling like I’d made two new friends. I’m sure the two will go on to have prosperous Subway careers”
“I ordered a box of sandwiches for an event the Lower Hutt team absolutely nailed it in 15min. Thank you to the team that was working as it was urgent and they didn’t complain they just got it done. Really appreciate you guys.”
“Good Sub. Staff was very quick and attentive.”
“i always get the katsu bowl from this place and it’s always delicious they are very sweet and very fast!”
“The sandwiches are made exactly how you like them, with plenty of fresh chicken, veggies and soft, tasty bread. Staff were friendly and efficient, and the place was clean and well-organised. Perfect for a fast lunch on the go. Thanks Team . Love your work .”
“I had THE TASTIEST Wonton Noodle Soup with Prawns! The broth was super tasty, everything was fresh, service was fast and friendly, highly recommend!”
“The SPS Petone ladies are always happy and accommodating! Always a nice feel in the shop.”
“Absolutely amazing - the lady’s are super friendly and the food is absolutely amazing. So good to feel good afterwards too - fresh & healthy Best subway I’ve been to in NZ”
“On my way home from work yesterday, I stopped by this sushi shop and bought three boxes of sushi. The salmon and avocado were very fresh, and the sushi was delicious. Even though it was close to closing time, they still provided excellent service. I highly recommend this place!”
“Such a cute wee Japanese restaurant with extra friendly and extremely polite Japanese staff serving you. Food so delicious. Great value for money using First Table - makes eating out affordable, especially when you have a giant teenage boy to fill up! This is my second time visiting Arashi in two weeks becuase I loved it so much the first time.”
“The best place for big group dinners. Went on a Saturday night and the place was packed-had a great energy. The staff are very professional. They write down you name & order to ensure everyone gets the right thing. Food was alright- felt like the miso soup and the sauce on the grilled fish was overly sweet. But liked the crunchy prawn dumplings. Will definitely be back for future group celebrations”
“The food, which came out fast and hot, was amazing... the chicken, cranberry and brie pizza especially! It was really busy, but we might as well have been the only ones there given how attentive and responsive the staff were. A shout out to Christina in particular; friendly, efficient, impossible to fluster, and responsible for allowing us to relax and enjoy out end-of-year dinner with thoughtful and seamless service. Thanks team!”
“Awesome food and service during busy periods”
“Best kebab I have had in a long time, will definitely be back for another.”
“Don't know why there aren't more reviews about this place. I feel like it gets overlooked because Sushi Bi is nearby at the train station. However, this place is a little gem. I remember coming here a good 10 years ago when the price of one piece of sushi was 70 cents. This place is still greatly affordable and still holds up its name to having great chicken. Their chicken katsu donburi is perfection. You get the katsu sauce and kewpie mayo drizzled over a deep fried chicken cutlet that is still so juicy and crunchy even though it was probably fried an hour or few ago. They include both lettuce and cabbage underneath this beautiful chicken and a generous amount of rice. I was afraid getting the regular size was going to be too small for my appetite so I got some sushi on the side. The sushi is cheap, at their basic pieces being $1 per piece. It's nothing to write home about but it's fresh and simple which I do prefer sometimes. The range is small but it's solid. Their salmon is very, very good. I think I'll order the large donburi next time. If you don't eat chicken, they also do a fish katsu! I'll be coming back again for that chicken katsu donburi. It calls my name....”
“The BBQ rice box tastes amazing and is incredibly good value at only $10. Highly recommend 2 Bears for lunch”
“I have bought sushi there twice and it is the best sushi I have ever tasted in New Zealand. Subtle flavouring, immaculately presented, generous filings, unique and totally worth a visit. I regret living 20 kilometres away. Superb and I wouldn't bother writing a review unless it was absolutely deserved. Unassuming sushi queens end of. I'll be back at the soonest opportunity.”
