At CCP, the teachers are welcoming and warm, and my son looks forward to going every day—sometimes he doesn’t even want to leave! I especially appreciate the 1:7 teacher-student ratio, the personalized updates on his interests and strengths, and the support for his emotional development. Since starting at CCP, his speech has improved significantly. They offer extracurricular activities (my son looks forward to Playball on Fridays!) and community excursions, also celebrates different cultures and events. Her teeth where pretty good to start with however this has positioned her teeth into perfect alignment as well as widening her smile. Gavin Cho and the team at The Wellington Dental Practice where wonderful to work with, providing the expertise whilst informing and guiding us every step of the way . “I cannot overstate how fantastic Elyssa Vulpes’ teaching has been. After 10 years of trying and failing to teach myself the piano, I finally decided to get lessons. It really proved how a good teacher is so worth it. Elyssa tailored her lesson plan to fit my needs and goals (namely improvisation around chords). She always comes prepared for each lesson and can show why each drill/skill she teaches is important and how it connects to my goals. She is aware of the difficulties of being a beginner at an instrument and is able to create an environment so that you stay encouraged and motivated. “Both our tamariki have been at BestStart Tawa, so we've been with the centre for over 7 years now. We absolutely love the teachers and staff who all show so much love and care for the tamariki and the whole whanua! The team do an amazing job, work together as a cohesive unit and are very adaptable. There are great resources for the tamariki and the food that is provided is such good quality and delicious. Everyone is so tamariki focuse, and there is a real emphasis on building relationships with the whole whanua. We've loved our time here and are so fortunate for the relationships built. He is also very gentle when he works on you and does an extremely good job. “Our daughter goes here. We feel that it's a very supportive environment with a high teacher to child ratio where each childs needs and interests are treated individually. The environment (inside and outside) are beautiful and natural. A large villa space converted, with soft colours and a wood fire. Outside has mature trees with shade, lots of birds and a good space to explore. Fully recommend this kindy for any child!”

I have learnt a lot about Montessori as an educational and developmental philosophy which has benefited my parenting. The physical environment and resources at our school are beautiful, from the carefully landscaped gardens, edible gardens, playground, and nature based classroom materials with no screens. Caring for the environment is also a big part of the Montessori philosophy; with children seen as kaitiaki of their space. To enter a classroom seeing young children engaged, calm and excited to learn is a real joy.
