“Had brunch there for the first time and loved it. For those who aren’t aware, it used to be called Mayfair theatre in the 1900s and you’ll be able to catch some of its history in the cafe. We had the Breakfast Special and it was perfect and a bonus to it was a well brewed coffee. Service was excellent and we exchanged a few chats along the way. The fireplace kept the cafe warm and toasty but not too heated. Lots of street parking available which adds to the convenience. This place also does discounts on the Entertainment Book or First Table bookings.”

“As tourists visiting this was the most friendly bar in NZ. The locals were welcoming and kind and at the end of the night there is a courtesy van that takes you back to where you are staying driven by the most lovely man!! Absolutely recommend this pub for a fabulous night!”
