Ordered Large Chicken Katsu with rice and they dont give you as much chicken as compared to the One Sushi in Lower Hutt. Takes a while to wait for your order as well.. Went here a few years ago and came back to see if they got better but nope, still prefer Lower Hutt
In need of maintenance. Tired and run down. Ripped seat holding door not an inviting way to enter store. Tired, ratty paint makes it seem unclean and unloved. Old unclean rice cookers. Prepacked sushi sitting on counter unrefriderated. Benches sticky. Staff working with headphones, meant wait to be served even though no other customers , and unable correctly add orders. Freezing cold while waiting. Error with order.
Went to order in store and the chicken that we got was probably 2 hours old. So dry and no crunch. The salad was also soggy. So disappointing because we usually go to one in lower hutt & wellington and they always serve fresh. Lady serving was lovely but the shop was kinda dirty. The glass were greasy and not clean.
Buy the bowl not the sushi as it's horrible.
Best One Sushi I've been to. Heaps of chicken when you order chicken rice bowl.
To say the food and customer experience has deteriorated is an understatement. I remember my favourite time of the day at school was going over to grab a fresh chicken salad and see a smiley face behind the counter. Now that’s all changed, I felt like my food was left in there since the day before and was to much effort to crack a smile from the individual behind the counter. Sad to say such a legendary spot has gone downhill but let’s hope they can make the trek up the mountain to be at its peak again.
Best Japanese fast food outlet in Silverstream a working class village South of Trentham. Try the Fish and Rice Katsu, its good value and tasty....
Nice little Sushi place! Take a box and get the Sushi which you want. I love it! They also do yummy crispy chicken with noddles. Next time being around this area, will visit again!
