Kilbirnie's Hidden Gem, full of thoughtful teachers who get to know you and your child, and a kind community to boot. You will always find the teachers playing alongside the kids, not from up high, guiding learning and maintaining a safe learning environment. Teachers can always give you a detailed story on your child's day. This aroha and care has helped my daughters to thrive. Can't recommend it enough.
Kilbirnie Early Learners (KEL) is a constant highlight of our daughters week - it's smiles all round when it's a KEL day. From the warm and caring Kaiako to the awesome parent community, we love everything about this place and are so grateful to have been recommended it 18 months ago. The small mixed age group has been so integral in our daughters development and confidence. She loooooves cuddling the younger tamariki and looks up to older ones for inspiration. We love that its a 5:1 Tamariki : Kaiako ratio. This place is an all round gem!
Kilbirnie early learners is an amazing childcare centre! The kaiako went above and beyond to help transition my daughter when she first started and we are consistently impressed with what an amazing place it is for our daughter to learn and play. It is a great community for our family to be apart of.
Both of my kids have gone to KEL and I could not be happier that they did. The care shown by the teaching team has been extraordinary, Tenaya is a wonderful leader and has provided support and advice to our family, they are building a wonderful space for children and families.
This is a great community resource and the staff there are very helpful! There are heaps of awesome groups that make use of the hall.
I tried to drop in in the drop in centre 17-09-2015 but some old geezer in the room and talking to a dropinee gruffley told me it was closed for the day. The sign on the door said it was open for another 45 minutes and people were inside dropping in. All i wanted was a quiet moment so i could read my book before my next appointment. I could have been in real need of assistance or just some drop in company but this dude didnt seem to care. The sign on the door also said "all welcome" but on this my first attempt to use a community centre I felt most unwelcome. So much for community and my tax dollars at work....
