My son has been here for just under 2yrs and he loves it . The place is always warm & welcoming . The staff are friendly & helpful . The facilities and play areas for the different age groups are awesome . I’m so glad I chose this daycare for my son I can’t fault anything they do ☺️
BestStart is amazing! First line of contact or visual is Reception and I’ll tell you what. Ceri is such a lovely & understanding receptionist! She makes coming into centre a lovely experience. Even when you have to call to confirm absence. She just makes you feel welcomed and appreciated. The classes & teachers are great too! They all treat the kids well & listen to your requests or concerns. It’s great. Super happy to have found a bunch of amazing staff who do actually care for the kids. The classes are always clean. If not clean the teachers and kids are in the middle of cleaning or tidying up. I’ve got both my young ones in & they are thriving! The Harakeke room is the best first classroom to start your little ones experience. They have a great outdoors area that’s closed off area and great for the babies to explore. Highly recommend the Waitangirua Centre.
I definitely recommend them! I have two kids that go there but one of them has recently started primary. Best Start really helped with the transition for my older one! Teachers and receptionist are always welcoming and caring! Till this day, my wife and I have to drag our baby out of kindy because he doesn't want to leave - thats reassurance that your child is being well looked after and having a blast at Best Start!
Our daughter tried another kindercare and didn't like it at all. Couldn't settle in for 2 weeks and we had to eventually took her out. We tried this branch of BestStart and it was completely different experience. Harekeke room staff has been amazing and very supportive throughout the transition period. My daughter has started enjoying her time at kindy and can't explain in word what a relief it was after the devastating experience with the first kindercare. This is out of the way from Aotea. However, very happy to drive extra 5 kms to see that smile on the daughter's face.
Great staff! Great service! Was so worried being first time mum about putting my child into daycare but can comfortably go to work knowing that she is learning and enjoying herself. Loads of washing to do but shows she's having lots of fun! Highly Recommend!
The Waitangirua Community Kindy has been fantastic in transitioning my boy from home life to day care. All of the teachers are kind, caring and have made such a strong bond with my son that I wonder why I was ever apprehensive about putting him into day care in the first place. He really enjoys his time and I appreciate the constant updates on how he is learning and growing. My husband and I have made great relationships with the teachers and we are confident that we couldnt have chosen a better family to help us raise our son (and future children). Thank you!
I am a first time mum of a little girl; She started at Community Kindy Warspite in April this year, in the under 2s (Harakeke room). All the staff are welcoming and accommodating, I experienced this first hand during "our" settling visits. It took ME a few weeks to adjust to the upcoming change for my little one, and throughout the time I spent at the centre (settling in baby) I got to see the staff at work. They (the staff) are always attentive and although they are very busy they always seem to have time to cater to the individual needs of the children (whether it be a cuddle or a child's need to show them something they've accomplished). We arrive everyday to a warm welcome and leave at the end of the day feeling confident that my little girl was in great hands. It's a hidden gem on Warspite Avenue, I would have never known it was there. I searched for months to find a centre that provided a safe learning environment as well as a caring environment for my daughter. I leave confident everyday that she's in good hands and that her daily needs are being met.
My son Mason has been apart of kindy life since October 2016. His confidence has grown so much and is establishing friendships with children and the teachers. The team are so welcoming and are so passionate and dedicated to the care of the children. Mason enjoys his days so much that myself or my partner generally have to drag him out. It's a pretty reassuring feeling when leaving the centre knowing your child is happy and will be a sad day when we do leave. I totally recommend any family to come along and experience it for yourself.
