“This is a fantastic spot for brunch and coffee. It’s a busy cafe so it might pay to book ahead, however we turned up and had to wait 15 minutes for a table for 2. Once we were seated the service was fantastic. I was eager to try the espresso tasting flight and loved it, a staff member explained the origins of the coffee which was great. The food was fantastic, it came out quick and the quality was exceptional! We are definitely going to come back again.”

“Visiting the city and found an excellent spot for exceptional coffee. On a sunny day, the best place to enjoy it is the outdoor terrace upstairs - quieter, more spacious, and refreshingly open, perfect for a leisurely breakfast and long conversations. The service is warm, welcoming, almost joyous, with staff who appear genuinely enthusiastic, accommodating, and efficient. Though the space is compact, the atmosphere is full of heart. Had a very lovely experience here. Thanks Frank’s and Wellington!”

“Come for the Star Wars decor, stay for the drinks and Pomodoro Pizza. The fine folks at Pizza Pomodoro informed me that if I would like to enjoy their pizza in a place with tables and seats (PP has only two very small tables) that Goldings had plenty of those AND sold their pizza there as well. So we went to Goldings and it was exactly as advertised. Best of both worlds and a bigger drink selection. Will be happy to return many many times in the future.”

“Hidden gem. This place's esthetic is true Japanese and yet, it's blended so well with good world beer and the art of conversation. Dominic, the bar owner made me feel welcomed and we chatted about the world and beer for ages. They made me great beer recommendations and made me a stonkin' vegan sandwich (pulled jackfruit). Low-key. Friendly. Tasty beer and snacks. Top marks!”

“This is an interesting place to others an amazing vibe, it has the choices I am generally interested in and of course it has a hint of southern African quinine, whether you come for a coffee, or a breakfast with boerewors or you lunch with a bunny chow can you really go wrong in a place like this, I think not! “Honestly my favourite coffee place in town, a small owner operated shop that roasts their own coffee (and does an incredibly good job of it). Somehow they manage to have competitive prices too despite not having the scale advantages of the big players.”
