My parents are moving to the area soon (from out of town). They've been to this cafe a couple of times while finding a house, doing inspections, etc. The staff remembered their faces and to my Mum in particular that meant the world. Thank-you!!
Waited 17mins for my coffee. Although itβs a nice place, I was not impressed having to wait for my coffee so long. Itβs okay if the guy was moving quickly but I was annoyed that he had no sense of urgency in getting peopleβs drinks done. He would pause in between and chat with the other staff member. I thought to myself nope not coming here again. They should think itβs a morning rush people need to get to work!
Naenae certainly needs a good cafe and this is the best there. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was a bit of a disappointment, as was my previous one. Staff were friendly, coffee good, but very slow service. The pear and cinnamon muffin tasted ok, although would have benefitted from more cinnamon. Problem was that it was far too crumbly - fell apart in my hand before I could eat it.
Nestled in the heart of Naenae, this little gem is unknown to many. However those in the know, will appreciate the great coffee, fresh food and all at a great price. My all time favourite is the omelette filled with lots of cheese, ham and mushroom. Not too blend but not salty at the same time.
I would like to say I've had a good experience however they are very inconsistent with their coffee and food. I've been here 5 times now and the only reason I go here is there is nowhere closer to the pool complex. they often have 4 staff on (like today) and they couldn't cook anything. I asked for scrambled eggs which only take a few mins or you could even cheat and do them in a microwave in 3 mins. They only served basic counter food. I think management really needs to look at how this business is run. I very rarely write a bad review however this is a business that needs a shake up if it wants to survive. coffee is ok however the service is slow, inconsistent and while the staff are friendly it's all about being a proper cafe. sorry to everyone for writing this review but that's how I feel . The response from the owner below is not actually accurate as I've mentioned that I've been there 5 times before. The eggs were missing on 2 of the 5 times and on 1 other occasion I had to go and ask for my coffee twice as they had forgotten my order. This review wasn't about today's experience but also of the other times.
Cheese scone and omelette offered great value. Unpretentious, great service, warm inviting atmosphere. Fantastic and busy spot.
Great scone, great Ginger slice and great service! The only reason they dont get a 5 is cause I have not eaten everything there or tried the coffee yet. Very nice from what I've experienced so far. Recommended :)
Love this place. Best cheese scones ever! And you get a decent amount of butter. Awesome coffee, awesome staff.
