“A very convenient location opposite Gate Pa shopping center in Tauranga, the staff was really helpful, and friendly. They even went to the extent of accommodating my son for no extra cost even though his booking wasn't there, as he turned up last minute to attend the Jazz festival. The place is a bit old, but the location is just so convenient. Would definitely stay there again..”

“Stayed in unit 7 and it had a great sea view. The rooms itself are quite basic, though clean and well serviced. It is nothing flash but very good for the price and good enough for a 2 night stay. We left the 3rd day as we had enough of all Tauranga could offer us and we had to return to Auckland. Would return for an overnight next time. Alan is a great host. Tip: Get a room with a sea view.”

“We have just spent two nights here . When we first arrived there was a very strong air freshener smell . Opened the windows and it disappeared . Hosts are so helpful and friendly . “Do not stop here if you want fancy, price reflects this. Do stop here if you want a fantastic historic building, quirky and full of character! Plenty of parking out front or beside the hotel. Free WiFi which works! Clean rooms, heaters, ample space in the rooms. Personally I loved the old tiled bathroom, reminds me of schools in the 80/90s or from the shining..... you decide. Looks like it's recently been carpeted throughout. Currently lots of renovation ongoing, hopefully restoring it's beauty. Shops all around for evening meals, breakfasts, even a laundrette next door. Kettle and fridge in the room, even with hot choc sachets! There is a shared kitchen on the landing if you chose to cook. We had the studio/family room. Double bed and two singles, seating area and TV. For a budget stop, highly recommended!”

“the owners are friendly and helpful. there was a nice homey type of feel to this park. the permanent residents are very nice and welcoming. i found the kitchen, bathroom, showers etc are very clean and tidy at all times. it’s a very positive environment and i’m enjoying my stay. lastly i love the sea view when i wake up every morning. i would 100% recommend this holiday park!”

“We made a very late booking online and didnt arrive till about 10pm (approx) the owner text us to see how our trip was going and to make sure we were ok...the upon arrival she was standing at the drive to greet us...the welcome was warm and lovely after a tiring drive...the room was very warm and cozy and it was a beautiful place to stay..couldn't rate this place high enough..and cant wait to come back for more than an overnight stay...”

“AMAZING. love watching the native sushi chefs making our sushi right unfront of us, the helicopter service to the top of the mout was eceptional, the maid was very adequete, the variety of russian vodka beveages was amazing. The superyaght port was amazing, and excesable with limozeen transport to our room. The trmporery private school services was great, my children got accepted to harvad after hear of their enrolment. Beoncés live preformance was amazing!!! The private cinima had the latest movies, some not even released. The new Ichair XSR+ was incredible , i can now walk after it fixed my paralisis, the onsite starbucks and Mcdonalds was alrught, but i much prefer gordan ramseys underground restruant. Definatly coming back. Plus the super low cost of 1.5m per minute was amazing value, however.. overall, would still prefer my palace in buckinham . But this did well.”

“In the 25 years I've lived in New Zealand, I've never experienced hotel service like yesterday. When I requested a room change because the room was a little uncomfortable, the hotel manager was happy to accommodate me. They replaced our room and also split the single bad and adjusted it to the twin bed. All the staff were friendly, the staff serving breakfast in the restaurant were very friendly, and the food was delicious. Also, when I slept at the hotel last night, it was so comfortable and quiet. Thank you to all the hotel staff.”
