“Credit where it’s due.. My husband and I were in the Onehunga store a few weeks ago, looking for golf attire, the lovely lady at the counter was super helpful, (wish I got her name, but she was a beautiful island lady) she helped with sizing, then went ahead and got every colour in my husbands size to try on. Checking, if we liked the fit, offering other selections and just being genuinely helpful. It’s daunting taking my husband shopping, but she made this a fantastic experience, we purchased 3 shirts and a jumper. He is happy with his purchase, and I hope this makes it back to the wonderful lady who helped us. She deserves a raise! Thankyou, we will be back ☺️”

“We ordered a couch from Sofa Creations and couldn't be happier. The in store service (Auckland branch) was friendly and knowledgeable, the price was excellent, the sofa was delivered on-time and is great quality. The turn around was only a month which compared to other furniture retailers was significantly faster. Plus the sofa was made onsite behind the showroom. Great to support NZ businesses and products. Thanks Sofa Creations! Highly Recommended..”

They used to have a very rude and dumb butcher a couple of years ago when I didn't want shop meat there, but now all are nice and friendly. Generally a nice place for produce and Asian foods.”

“For my husband, daughter, and myself, The Coffee Club Manukau is the perfect, easy-access date location. The playground directly in front of the cafe is a huge plus, making it super family-friendly. We always enjoy dining in because the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing and safe. The coffee is a hit with us, but as someone who loves unsweetened matcha, I found theirs a bit too sweet for my taste. However, the overall ambiance and convenience make it a wonderful place to visit.”

“I had a delightful experience at the Timberland shoe store, all thanks to Semi, the wonderful sales guy. His knowledge about Timberland's products was impressive, and he helped me find the perfect pair of shoes. Semi's patience and professionalism were truly commendable. He took the time to answer all my questions, never making me feel rushed. It's rare to encounter someone so dedicated to ensuring a positive customer experience. With Semi's assistance, I not only left with a fantastic pair of shoes but also a smile on my face. His exceptional service made my visit memorable, and I can't recommend them enough. “The only thing I ever win playing lotto is bonus strike tickets, and on the odd occasion I go to the casino, I’m balling if I validate my parking. So imagine my shock when the lady behind the counter called my name and then said “we’re doing staff training, help yourself to one of the FREE drinks on the bench.” I picked up this fancy looking thing covered in whipped cream caramel drizzle. I still have no idea what it was but it made the latte I ordered look like a cup of instant coffee wearing a pretty dress. I haven’t been back since however as I’m nervous of disappointment. I hit the jackpot that day and it felt good to come out on top. I’d had a taste of the good life, and I don’t know if I could risk it and come out with only the coffee I paid for. But that got me thinking, Starbucks as a global company have a pretty questionable moral compass, and if they’re prepared to openly avoid paying tax in certain areas, then surely they’d have no problem with abusing their employees by firing them as soon as they’re fully trained and moving in the next lot… a barista sweatshop. 5 new part time staff to a machine, pumping out a non stop supply of free training coffees. They even use caramel drizzle to write secret messages begging for help. Unfortunately we’ve grown accustomed to the free training coffees, so we look the other way as Starbucks install anti suicide nets around the panini presses. Before you know it Starbucks is “employing” child labour and confiscating workers passports. We start to hear stories about the baristas that have completed their training being taken out the back and being recycled and turned into the self service kiosks for McDonald’s. Surely something must be done, how could we let these blatant human rights violations happen in our back yard! And then just as you’re about to speak up you realise that they’ve given you regular milk when you clearly stated that you needed almond milk. Honestly, how can you be expected to care about “alleged” misery and suffering when no one is respecting your lactose intolerance. And so you demand they make it again and pick up you’re free training coffee on your way out, pausing only briefly to scan your Starbucks loyalty card, it won’t be long now until you have enough points to go to the auctions and get your very own barista to take home…… But yeah, overall friendly staff, great service and decent coffee. Definitely worth a visit, especially if they have free training coffees.”
