“Impressive complex. The Surf Club should be allowed to serve meals if they so wish. The local cafe doesn't operate after 5pm & shouldn't have the monopoly on this busy beach area. There are enough customers to share.”

“Hailing from a RSA Club in South Auckland we headed across the harbour bridge in search of a Sea view and found this place. Great lunch, a few games of pool and right down near the beach. Overall an amazing spot and I recommend it 100%.”

We’ve visited twice and she’s been so kind to my son, offering a fresh hot chocolate when he accidentally dropped his, offering to set up a hangar visit and just generally being one of God’s Better People. Very baffled by the previous comments saying it wasn’t kid friendly. In our experience, a lot of places could do with employees like this lady, she’s wonderful. Great coffee and food too!”

“Our work team had lunch here and this is my first time. The place is very big and spacious. The drinks were cheaper and the food was great. I had pork belly and was very nice. There are poker machines and the pools room. We played pools after lunch. This is a very fun place. I signed up as a member, because if you signed up as a member, you get cheaper drinks.”

We came here because I found this place online while we were planning and said I really wanted to go. It was hard to pick what to order because everything on the menu sounded fantastic. We're both fans of interesting signature drinks at cocktail bars, and this bar had heaps of them. I had the Merchant's Mark and my friend had the Shaitan's Favour and both drinks were fantastic. I'd recommend them both. Even though the place got a bit busy, the bartender was friendly and approachable without being invasive or intrusive. We sat right at the bar and really enjoyed watching the bartender at work, because it was clear he was extremely skilled at his job. We had a great chat with him about different spirits and liqueurs as well.”

Got the impression it is a well supported venue by locals. I was told that any members of affiliated service clubs throughout New Zealand csn enjoy this venue.”
