During s brief vist to Christchurch, I enjoyed the hospitalty at this venue on two occasions. Good menu backed up by great offering, well supported by friendly stsff. Got the impression it is a well supported venue by locals. I was told that any members of affiliated service clubs throughout New Zealand csn enjoy this venue.

Disappointing is probably not low enough. Place your order at the bar ask specifically for a starter and then a main to have everything delivered at once then pass the buck ( we don't do that the order person should have put a note in I'm so sorry I will let the kitchen know ) so two cold meals sat on the table and we are still waiting for the kitchen to do something about it walked away.

I Had a large Beef roast of the day and my mate had a small of the same. Sizes were almost identical. Veges were crisp and roasted pumpkin and spuds were ok. Gravy not spectacular. Overall ok

Would have liked to give higher review but this is the first time I've been back here for dinner since change of hands. And so many small things went wrong. No apple sauce for the pork , Missed all side salads to then enquire and to be told they had run out. So hadn't communicated with us about this, they ended up swapping them out for ice cream Sundaes, when received. We got dirty spoons that had butter on them. My daughter got nachos and they forgot her guacamole, I got the mix grill and they forgot my onion rings, Was Just one thing after another. I've never been to a restaurant that I had to keep chasing them around for missing items on all of our plates. Also seems like there was a big lack of communication with the staff. As we got asked what puddings we were waiting for before we even had gotten seated. And once we brung up the salad issue everyone just looked at each other like noone knew what. Undecided if I would return.

Fatherβs day deal today is really good! $30 for a beer and Ribs. Free dine for kids (Sunday-Tuesday). The Live music is great! Service is excellent! We didnβt expect it to be fast as itβs really busy but we got our food nice and piping hot! We had the ribs, fetuccine and chicken tenders and chips! Amazing friendly staff and good vibes!

Decent meals but if you're under 50 years old prepared to be stared at by the ageing members all night!

Great value food and drink. "Classic" club menu and pricing. Raffles and pokies are always a bit of fun but some improvements on the entertainment options wouldn't go amiss to bring in a younger crowd. Otherwise a nice place to hang out in the evening. Being a member of the club also gains you access to all the other clubs in NZ.

Great food, wish I could give you an extra star for the gravy on the chips!
