“My favourite malatang in auckland! amazing addictive soup base. They do it like no others, I go there monthly if not weekly. Can get busy during week hours but they always cook to food quick. Recommend soup!”
“This place serves truly authentic Chinese breakfast—I absolutely love their baozi (steamed buns), youtiao (fried dough sticks), and soy milk. The baozi are a must-try: the wrappers are soft, and the fillings are juicy and flavorful. They also offer classic old Beijing-style dishes that bring back nostalgia. The only downside is the small space, so it’s best to arrive early to avoid a long wait. Highly recommended for traditional Chinese breakfast lovers!”
“Surprisingly very good, unsure if new ownership since I've last been. But was on par with other great fish and chip shops.”
“Absolute beauty of a dish beef & tomato on rice was both aromatic and comforting. The tomatoes add that juicy freshness to it, nice tender beef and fluffy eggs. Highly recommend!”
“A cold late night and household is hungry. 10 min waiting to cook and take away. Very clean and hospitality service is excellent. Recommend to everyone as meal is non greasy. Certainly worth your money to spend for a large quantity on my plate for 2 adults. I really enjoyed their food.”
“Today rang up for f&c. Fresh crumbled nice Hoki, fresh half serve chips. Quickly cooked & ready. Recommend. Just walk in, grab food & go. No atmosphere as is not dine in. Good!”
“We’ve been coming here for years and we love the food!! We always order Braised pork belly with rice & Honey chicken with rice. The staff are very friendly and accommodating! A must try!!! ☺️”

“Been going to 108 for years now, and always have a really good experience. I highly recommend the tofu, we order it every time!”

“Have been coming to this family owned business for years now and it's still the best. The sweet n sour pork, chicken chow mein and wontons are our go to.”
“I pass by this place every day on my way to work and finally decided to give it a try for an early dinner. It's not a big place, but there were a few tables available when we walked in and within the hour, it was completely full. The food was delicious, and the staff were super friendly. Definitely planning to come back again.”
“This is our local takeaways and we’ve enjoyed their services. Bought my last meal here tonight. Wonderful couple, I always mention about his haircut, and that’s our usual banter. Will miss them”
“The food here is very tasty and a must try. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and am thoroughly impressed with the food. An absolute classic and a must try .”
“Very traditional Cantonese flavour.Went there four years ago with my friends.Back today with my hubby. He likes it very much,it’s his hometown flavour. I like the red bean smoothie.Yummy yummy!”
“Great place to experience Yum Cha, Food is great and has good selection of Hong Kong style food for all appetites and family diet preferences. Well priced and value for money.”
“The food was very nice here. I ordered fried fish and other stuff. Food is big portions here. Nice with two people or a group sharing plates. Customer service was nice. Heaps of parking outside.”
“Honestly incredible value and taste, the place filled up with customers shortly after we ordered so I am thankful we got our food quickly.”
“Probably the best yum cha spot in Auckland! The food quality here is definitely a step above other well-known places. We came for a Saturday brunch with my family and my wife's family, and the place was already busy right from opening at 11am. Every table was full by lunchtime, so I was glad we had made a booking! Ordering was super easy using their QR code system, which showed clear photos of each dish. It was really helpful for choosing what we wanted. We ordered quite a variety, including their popular black truffle dumplings, steamed prawn dumplings, Mr. Lobster deep-fried prawn paste in shredded pastry, deep-fried spicy beans for salad, and a lobster congee to share, along with a few more dishes (not all pictured). Dish highlights: - Black Truffle Dumplings: Absolutely my favourite! There are two versions, and both were rich, fragrant, and full of truffle aroma - a must-try. - Steamed Prawn Dumplings: Fresh, juicy, and perfectly cooked - classic done right. - Deep-Fried Prawn Pastry (Mr. Lobster): Super crispy on the outside and beautifully tender inside. Loved every bite. - Spicy Beans for Salad: Crispy, flavourful, and surprisingly addictive. - Lobster Congee: Smooth, comforting, and generous with lobster - perfect for sharing. Even though the restaurant was packed, the staff were friendly, quick, and attentive. They took the time to answer our questions and made sure we had everything we needed. I have been here a few times now and have never been disappointed. They do yum cha only in lunch time, so it was important to us meeting in lunch time. The only downside is that prices are higher than other yum cha places, but the quality and flavour kinda justify it. Highly recommended, and make sure to book ahead.”
“Have eaten in and had delivery for many many years. Still love the place the food and the atmosphere. Easily some of the best OG Dumplings and the Lemon Chicken is always a household fave. Thanks team the whole family had smiles when it arrived last night!”
“The food was surprisingly big for one person. It was good size with cheap price. Pad Thai was quite really good, near authentic. The fried wonton and the sauce was perfect! If I'll crave for Thai food, I will definitely come back again. :)”
“I love this Chinese takeout for their hot chips. Are always golden crispy and well drained. In my opinion they do the best chips out of our three local Chinese takeaway because of the golden crispy crunch the chips have. Smaller portioned but best quality. I also tried their spicy sliced pork belly on white rice with vegetables as it was a recommended dish under reviews on their website. Have tried the same dish at Mt Albert & Mt Eden. They do not compare to this place and the way they do it. My favourite dish is the Chicken Rice Noodles dish. It’s so satisfying as a comfort food. And the servings sizes of these two dishes are worth the price. The owners are friendly. I hope they will stay open for as long as I am here. The others just don’t seem to compare.”
“Proper sichuan restaurant in Auckland! The decor of this restaurant was quite the highlight. Felt fun and cheeky. Ordered mapo tofu, tomato eggs, cumin beef and pickled fried rice. All dishes were outstanding. The beef was tender, fresh and succulent. Mapo tofu was another highlight. Would highly recommend.”
“Was quite busy for a Monday lunch. Fast and friendly service. Very tasty food. Went for the pork belly hand pulled noodles. You literally get to see the chef making the noodles.”
“This is part of my spending record up until today for this month, and I believe the data speaks for itself. It’s enough to prove that I am a loyal fan of Eden Noodles who has visited many times. The restaurant combines delicious food, affordability, quick service, generous portions, and cleanliness — a true hidden gem in Auckland. That’s why I want to recommend it! Also, whenever I see negative reviews about Eden, I feel puzzled, because my dine-in experiences have always been met with efficient and professional front-of-house service. I’ve even witnessed staff making fresh dumplings by hand, as well as the busy kitchen in action. Despite the rush of many customers, I still receive greetings, attention, smiles, and, of course, amazing food. I’m grateful to Eden for giving me such a wonderful experience, and I truly hope people can show more understanding and be less critical. Here’s to another day of recommending Eden!”
“Their fried noodles are very nice and good portions as well. Little to no wait time.”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Delicious food and excellent service! We especially loved the eggplant dish and the steamed prawns — both were full of flavour and perfectly cooked. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our meal. There’s also plenty of parking, which made the visit super easy. Highly recommend this place if you’re after authentic and tasty Chinese food!”
“This authentic Chinese food restaurant on Dominion Road may not have the most inviting look and feel, but the food speaks for itself. My fiancée and I decided to try it out before heading to Eden Park to watch an All Blacks game. We ordered Taro Balls, Dry Noodles with Peanut Sauce (large size), and Dumplings with Spicy Sauce (medium size). The portions were generous and perfect for two people, and the prices were quite reasonable. The Taro Balls, in particular, were exceptionally well-fried and delicious – highly recommended! The peanut sauce noodles were also tasty, with ample portions that we thoroughly enjoyed. The dumplings, while similar to those at other Chinese restaurants, were still quite good. Overall, this restaurant provided us with a satisfying dinner. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Chinese food.”
“Wonderful meal for a birthday. Hot, tasty and a good size. Value for money and staff are so friendly.”
