   Not good service bad attitude like she didn't want know like i was suppose to know more, I asked was there going to be fresh chicken coming lady got agitated answered with attitude. I bought fried chicken was only a few left in the tray sitting to long hence why I asked if fresh ones were coming out then once I bought it fresh bach came out. Before all that happened was hoping to get a dish but looking at some of the food glad I didn't some of them where dry had been sitting longer. I wouldn't come back due to where it lacks not worth my money & time . They need to be more friendly to customers take up customer service courses...also know there on peak & off peak to ensure fresh foods available instead of winging it . Prices are higher compared to where I always go already .... Up to the individual's to go to this store but hey I've given my experience.

   Their chicken nibbles are nice but they increased their prices recently. 30 x chicken nibbles on doordash used to be $48.50 now its $55 thats a big jump just for chicken nibbles

   I won’t recommend this takeaway I got a chicken fried rice and it was cooked fresh when I got home to eat it the fried rice tasted really soggy even the chips aswell didn’t taste great no flavour at all. They need to focus on their food carefully. Won’t be back here again thanks it’s a 1/5 for me. Wasted my $30 and food was horrible

   We pre-order chicken here for whenever we have a large group to feed because they’re local and they say they open at 10:30am (our morning teas/brunches are around 11:30am) but NS consistently don’t show up to open the store until after 11am. I feel if you can’t fulfill orders when you say you will or you don’t open when you say you will, you shouldn’t accept the order or you should change the signage to reflect the actual opening time.

   Absolutely the best takeaway in Papatoetoe, they are well priced given the rise in costs. The best things to order are the chicken nibbles & chips, smogasboard and Chinese. Chips here are godly!! So fresh and crispy!! Always great customer service and so busy! So be patient because you can see they are trying to get through the busy rush periods!!

   The best Takeaway in Auckland! They do an amazing beef brisket, everyone loves it and the curry chicken is bomb. The nibbles are always so fresh and juicy, and delicious crispy chips! Highly recommend, super affordable takeaways!

   We really like New Star Takeaways - it is our got to place for Chinese in Papatoetoe. We always get the Number 8 special, it comes with sweet and sour pork, fried rice, chicken stirfry and 6 won tons. They are really consistent with the quality and it is tasty. We are a family of 3 and it is enough for 2 nights dinner, they really pack it in. The place is always busy, people seem to love the buffet plates and the chicken wings and chips are popular too. We've been going her for years and they will continue to be our go to Chinese takeaway.
