I travelled from Auckland on Friday evening and was able to find a room for five people quickly despite most of the other motels in the area being booked. Definitely recommend this lodge for anyone who is wanting fast and efficient service. A huge thank you to the team at Valdez Motor Lodge for their hospitality.

Stayed while travelling for work. Had a couple of issues with the room. Shower head was loose and inoperable but the staff were helpful when I approached for a screwdriver to fix it. Also the WiFi kept dropping and therefore the TV was unusable.
I’ve stayed here twice before and have had the same experience both times. The staff are nice enough. But the rooms are disgusting, the room has an underlying smell of urine, the carpets are stained, rusted and broken fixtures in the bathroom. These things have gone unnoticed and unfixed for quite some time. I’d avoid staying here again unless the standard comes up to more than its current comparison of a dog kennel.
Beautiful accomodation with heaps of parking and spacious big rooms with comfy beds with the facility of heat pumps and spa in every room. Full kitchen to cook your own meals If you staying for long time. Reception lady always keen to help with anything you need at any time and always welcome guests with beautiful smile.One of the best places to stay in Hastings. Highly recommended 10/10
Nothing to write home about. Pricey and wouldn't rate this a 4 star hotel. Had to do our own dishes or would incur extras charges if we didn't comply. My dad's separate unit had a surprise guest of a nasty bug which we trapped under a glass bowl. The cleaner informed me it was no big deal as it was only a cockroach from out of the garden.....! Not impressed.
First motel I have stayed in where one had to make own beds. Price wasn't 99.oo a night place plus had to clean own dishes up before departure. Outside furniture needs a good clean or replaced. Outside ashtray hadn't been cleaned out in ages. Beds very comfortable, staff needs to check light bulbs light over sink wasn't working. First motel that had no soap in shower thank goodness I brought my dove
Such a well located motel and the unit was lovely. Good sized two bedroom and heat pump was great.
Heap's of parking space and the rooms are spacious and the bathroom is ? Wow got a spa bath....very nice after the long day. Relaxation time. Alot of rooms and has its own courtyard. Takeaway and cafes all around. Great for families, has room for the kids. Kid friendly. It's a lovely place and quite too!
Great place for a cheap but cheerful stopover on our way to Wairarapa in late Jan. Decor was a bit dated, but it was clean, the beds were comfortable enough, and it was quiet. Would have appreciated a TV that would tune to any channel though without ghosting. That definitely needs upgrading. Would stay again
