    Booked for 3 nights. We saw pictures online of the motel and then booked it as we wanted somewhere with the pool as our son loves pool. Upon arrival we were stunned. The room was ok but hygiene wise was hopeless. And pool was so dirty as if it hasn't been cleaned for long time. The electric kettle had dirt stuck inside. The motel was NOTHING like the picture online on booking.com

    A pleasant room, comfortable bed. Plates, cutlery and glassware in perfect order. Didn't have a shower so can't comment on that but water pressure was quite low for the basin.

    Great location along the esplanade and very close to the city centre. Excellent secure parking for my work van during an overnight stay. There was a large fully fenced children’s playground across the road and the scare park beyond that. There’s a lovely park further along the esplanade. The reception staff were pleasant and the room had everything I needed. A heat pump to warm the room up on a cold winters night and a large shower with complimentary soap and shampoo. The reception staff gave me a small bottle of milk for my morning coffee and they provide a kettle and French press with complimentary coffee for my early start the next day. $159 for a single beachfront room.

    We arrived and found the room overpowering with the smell of cleaning products and air freshner. I opened all the windows and doors and even after 2hrs it was same. We could smell cigarette smoke as well. They where full and the manager Gagan Singh could not contacted for 1 1/2 hrs. Zt 4pm we decided to go to Taupo. GAGAN refused to give a refund. If you have any allegies this is definitely not the plzce too stay.

    Spectacular location and very clean. Comfortable bed. Enjoyed my stay. Will be back for a couple of nights in the near future.

    Unfortunately the TV in our room wouldn't work properly, assume issues with the satellite dish. The WIFI also worked intermittently at best, one evening we couldn't get it to work at all. Both couches the springs had collapsed so it felt like you were sitting on the floor. Room in desperate need of an upgrade since the 90's but one positive the bed was comfortable.

    Supreme location with your porch looking towards the nice beach park. Very little vehicle traffic. Room was clean. Some light fixtures had dust webs on them. Fridge, microwave, two chairs. No A/C, heating was by a portable electric heater. Nice cutlery set with wine glasses. On site parking. No night concierge.

    Was wonderfully positioned to enjoy the views over the road and was within walking distance to playground and other amenities. The room was very clean and spacious, the only minor concern was the bathroom fan which was rather noisy and was heard in the room next door. Otherwise happy with it all.
