Great place to stay. Quiet, clean, comfortable, great hostess.
The sea and the beach are literally across the street, the apartment is large enough for 2, nicely decorated, large shower, sound system, fully equipped kitchen, parking space... Some negative sides though: the SH2 passes behind the house with considerable traffic, also at night. No matter if windows were open or closed, noise from road was perceptible. The use of earplugs DID help! Thermic insulation also insufficient and lots of heat is concentrating in the apartment during the day. We could open windows by day on the shady side (and enjoy cool sea breeze!) or at night, provided that all lights were turned off to prevent mosquitos and other insects to come and visit us. The latter must be a "summer problem" only, and this location remains an exclusive and a perfect remote location to explore the Hawke's Bay!
