“Very thorough tour, with an awesome insight into the history of the Good George story. Lots of sampling opportunities and a explanations of the process that happens behind the scenes. We followed up with some good food and a pint at the finish. Such a cool thing to do with visitors to the Tron and locals alike. Highly recommend getting a group together and doing this!”

“Lovely atmosphere. Didn’t feel like we were shouting over the noise that other restaurants have, it was good noise wise as I had a raging sore throat so was great that I don’t lose my voice. Me and dad had the beef Wellington and it was cooked to perfection we didn’t need to use steak knives as the normal knives cut like butter. The desserts my sister, dad and I had was very good. The bread was very fresh and hot. Love it so much would definitely recommend to everyone.”

“Loved it. There was a good range of Korean street food, most plates costing $12. My husband & I both had the Korean fried chicken with sauce. For $12 each, we each got 4 crispy pieces of boneless chicken, plus pickles. Yummy! It was enough for a light lunch. Quirky decorations. Quick & friendly service. Plan to go back soon.”

“I have been wanting to try this place for some time now on my work visits down from Auckland. Glad I finally did, new fav Hamilton restaurant! Service was outstanding, food was absolutely delicious. I had the Turkish meatballs as per wait staff recommendation (I would not normally order this dish first up) and I did not regret it. Portion size was not huge (which I prefer) so room for desert and the baklava and tahini ice cream did not disappoint. You can tell there are some generational recipes being passed down here. Yum!”

“I have done this place a huge injustice by living in Hamilton for 10 years without knowing it existed!!! The interior resembles a real Italian trattoria, and the ambience is authentic. The food was brilliant, and we tried traditional pizza, bolognese snd parmigiana. Gelato and tiramisu rounded up the wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!”

We read such fabulous 5-star reviews that we thought we would try the Welcome Indian Takeaway Restaurant — and it did not fail us at all! The food was just amazing. For having traveled so far, each of the meals that we had ordered was just full of real flavor — in all seriousness, it was some of the finest Indian food we'd ever had in our whole lives. Nicely prepared, beautifully spiced, totally unforgettable and price is so reasonable which anyone can effort compare to others restaurants. The food was equally impressive. The staff were welcoming, polite. Special mention to Bikash for excellent hospitality service — he made us feel so welcome and proved his excellent hospitality service. If you are in Hamilton or even just passing through, this is an absolute must-visit destination. The set menus come with a good variety of starters and mains, and everyone loved what was offered. The restaurant is also split into three dinning areas, so you have a choice of sitting outside or in a more cosy booth. Very popular restaurant, so strongly recommend booking ahead to secure a table.”

Seafood was super fresh, especially the prawns and calamari – cooked just right. Only downside was the sauce on a couple of dishes – felt a bit heavy and overpowered the natural flavours. Would’ve been perfect with just a lighter touch. Still, a great place to relax with a drink and enjoy the view. Worth a visit, especially if you’re into bold flavours and casual coastal dining.”

“We adore this place - they serve incredibly fresh fish (their nigiri platter is delicious!), freshest fish in Hamilton. Their food is always perfectly cooked and beautifully prepared. Beer is ice cold, sake is delicious and hot (if you like it that way) and their service is warm and personable. We can’t say enough about this place and the rad people that run it ❤️”

“Thai Classic has got to be one of the best authentic thai restaurants in Hamilton! I have tried a wide range of their food and it has never disappointed me. Their curries are super flavourful as are the stir fry dishes. The entress are super yummy and all house-made by their head chef. So they taste extra special! The staff are super friendly and inviting and their knowledge about the cuisine is good. The owners are also super lovely people and it was great to go in when collecting my takeaway order, to see all their tables full! They deserve all the hype and business.
