I had a fantastic experience at Basil Thai Kitchen in Hamilton. I’ve been coming to Basil Thai Kitchen in Hamilton for years, and it always impresses. The food was absolutely delicious — super fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. The owner is always warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive. I loved the current free spring rolls promotion. The cosy atmosphere and great service make it a place you want to come back to. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic, delicious Thai food.
We came to Basil Thai Kitchen for a Pad Thai and were delighted by meeting the lovely owner Bern. We had a pleasant chat while we waited for our food. Didn't wait long and enjoyed the the pad Thai. They also had good vegan option for us. We totally recommend this lovly family owned business. Gretings to Bern from Vitto and Leon from Germany - all the best!
Got the Pad Thai and cashew chicken for takeaway. The Pad thai was very nice but my parter found the cashew chicken a little bland. We also thought the serving size was a little small for what we paid for. Service was friendly though and food came quickly. Would give it another go.
The shop is super small. There is no music. You serve yourself water and you order at the counter. The dishes are ok, it looks like frozen vegetables and the chicken is dry. If you want cheap good Thai then it is great. If you want something with more quality ingredients then look elsewhere.
Pad Thai was pretty good, but $18.90 for a very small portion is ridiculous. Smaller than a ten dollar food court meal. But with better flavour. Pity
This is by far the best Thai food I have tasted in New Zealand. My wife and I went here cause of other peoples feedback and we are both glad we did. Best Massaman soup curry i've tasted and Awesome Pad Thai, the flavour is aunthentic! Generous serving and great customer service. We will be back...
