“I stayed in November 2024 for 2 days with a late check out. I wanted to give this motel a review as I found the staff extremely helpful as it was my first time in Christchurch. I want to commend the staff making our stay great. The location is fantastic - great bus routes to airport, city and beyond and the Riccarton Mall literally across the road. Being self contained and having a mall across the road made it easy to get supplies to cook food etc. I really recommend Dean Bush Motel - ring them instead of going thru a book app to get the best deal.”

“Everything is perfect during my stay! Spacious, clean, comfy bed, cooling aircond, heated water, walking distance to town.”

“Very clean, modern rooms with all the necessary requirements. The owners could not be more obliging. They went out of their way to accommodate us. Affordable accommodation, central to train station, city centre and airport. Well worth the $$”

“Loved the place. I’ve tried several hotels in the area and like this the most for its location, rooms and value for money. Loved their rooftop restaurant. I recommend their breakfast that can be included in the booking. Last but not least I loved the firm-ish bed. I feel rested.”

“Really cool place & the bar had a great atmosphere. The people running the venue were lovely and very helpful. It is by a main road but great value for what you get and conveniently close to the airport.”

“Went to Bunco’s for brunch and it was delicious, the atmosphere was nice and cosy however the hot drinks we ordered were nice enough but only lukewarm. The eggs were perfectly cooked as was the entire meal for both.”

“This evening, a staff member went above and beyond for our family! I believe her name was Kaye, working in the click and collect department this evening. After my husband came home with our order, we realised we were missing a few things. I called up to explain and Kaye was so apologetic and helpful! So much so that she personally delivered our missing items to our home after her shift finished! Just incredible!”

“Redwood Aquatics is an amazing shop for reptile and fish supplies! Debbie is always friendly, quick to respond to my emails, and incredibly helpful. The store is fun to visit and it’s great to have such a reptile-friendly place in Christchurch - which can be hard to find. Highly recommend!!!”

“Have been taking my cat to Claire and Colin at vetcall for a few years now. I find them to be very thorough and caring veterinarians. The nurses here are super lovely as well. They do also offer afterpay as well as royal canin food bag and pouch recycling. Highly recommend this wonderful team!”

“Absolutely fantastic here. It was the first time taking our anti-social dog here for a groom. She's a very protective Pomeranian so I was nervous. I didn't need to be, we went to collect her and she was socializing with the other dogs, walking around happy as. The groomer did an amazing job too. I will fir sure be a repeat customer.”

“Very nice motor camp with a great vibe. Great value for money very tidy and clean facilities. I booked one night in the Tui caravan and 2 nights in one of the cabins. Loved the Comfortable beds in the caravan. Friendly helpful staff and very accommodating when my plans got messed around by Airnz. I Will definitely recommend and will stay there again if I’m down that way.”

“This cattery is amazing, the owner is such a lovely caring lady who loves cats as much as me! Our 2 little girls were well looked after and got lots of pats and cuddles too. I would highly recommend this cattery.”

“It's so nice to be greated by name when walking in the door, the staff are all lovely. If there has ever been an issue with a prescription staff do the upmost to rectify, even going as far as personal home delivery. I always do, and will continue to use this delightful pharmacy.”

“We have been sending our girl to Alameda for 2 years now and it’s her absolute favourite place to be! So much so she’s waiting at the door every morning and cry’s the whole way there!! Our girl goes for daycare everyday and we can never thank the team and Davina enough for giving our girl the space to burn her energy and a safe space to stay when we are away from home! I couldn’t recommend a better place and better people! Thank you all for the hard work you do, it doesn’t go unnoticed ❤️”

“Came here for my ringneck parrot who was shaking and had a vitamin deficiency. The staff know there stuff ✨ Jose Doo went the extra mile even checking in every few days!!”

“Great experience, I went in to just grab some raw meat for my pup after googling " raw pet food in Christchurch"...the friendly staff member questioned me on what I want for my pup, she was full of great knowledge on animal nutrition and done a quick free assessment, using my dogs weight, size, breed etc, she gave me recommendations on best food and importantly how much she should be feed daily. Great variety of good quality, healthy food for your pet. It looks like this is my new regular dog food supplier. I definitely recommend people at least check out the variety of pet food if your in the area.”

“This is use to be officer's quarter from the 40s. In good shape with a courtesy staff. Next door to the New Zealand Air Force Museam. No elevator but the front desk staff are in great shape and will carry your luggage. I offered a tip but he would not take it. Great food in the restaurant at a reasonable price. The room, 207 was a bit small but clean and comfortable.”

“Just want to thank the lovely family who manage the Vita Nova Motel for a great stay. We landed at midnight and we were able to arrange a late checkin. The unit was really clean, bed was so comfortable, Netflix to chill out at night, had all the necessary amenities and great service. Daily house keeping was excellent, she was thorough and showed great attention to detail. Laundry facilities were useful. Location was great, central to everything. Would definitely stay again. Thanks again.”

“A rare find! The view from the garden room is stunning, with the sound of the stream lulling you to sleep. Best ever linen. Very welcoming hosts. Really recommend a walk at nearby Harry Ell Track and a drive up to Sugarloaf Scenic Reserve if you’re visiting!”

“I give this place a 5 star in terms of the rooms are spacious, clean and has a home away from home feel. Bathroom is good. Honestly couldn't find a fault with this apartment for the price. The reception staff are wonderful and welcoming. Thank you for your hospitality”
