“Went here a few times and still my favourite. Its abit far from my place but i guess the food is worth for me to travel here. The taste is just nice. I usually order extra spicy. I got to try new dish of brown sugar with fried cake and its nice. Would like to try their caramelised kumara the next time. They played very nice music too. Love the vibe. Only 1 thing is the fish which i try for the first time is abit over grilled/fried so its abit dry. Other than that everything is excellent.”

“Last day in Christchurch and glad to come across this teppanyaki restaurant. Is value for money for the set menu and we selected chef suggestion which come with Beef, Prawns and Chicken . The set also comes with an appetiser, miso soup and rice and the portion is generous. The chef is quite skilful and the beef is superb tasty , tender and not overcook even I ordered for medium well. Best to book in advance to sit at the chef counter.”

“It's the closest HELL to my place. So I frequent this store. I don't like pizza. So I only order sides. Or "Splatter Platter". All the sides are yum . The staff are very friendly. The friendly staff is the best part of the visit. Rare to find at a fast food outlet these days.”

“I recently visited Subway around 8 PM and had an excellent experience! The staff were friendly, but one person really stood out — an Indian boy who served me. He was extremely polite, patient, and attentive, making sure I got exactly what I wanted. He even offered helpful suggestions and made the whole ordering process smooth and enjoyable. The sandwiches were fresh and tasty, and the overall atmosphere of the store was clean and welcoming. It’s rare to see such genuine customer service, especially at that hour, and it definitely made my visit memorable. I highly recommend this Subway for anyone looking for great food and exceptional service”

“After having local food for 10 days. We are craving for Chinese food. We manage to try this restaurant visited by many Chinese living in Christchurch. It is Hongkong style food. Pickled duck wings. Steam blue cod fish. Ginger and spring onion Venison hot plate. Crispy skin Peking duck. Steamed oyster with vermicelli. All cooked to perfection and taste like food eaten in Hongkong. . Food : 5/5 Service : 4/5 Price : $$$ Place : 3/5”

“delicious food!! size was pretty massive, we were there when they almost close, but they let us in and cook for us. very kind gesture. we ordered a bunch of food and couldn't finish it. the highlight is their congee, i really enjoy their century egg congee. full of eggs inside. their yumcha also very nice. i would recommend this place.”

“I know they are not perfect. But it is worth it for me to give 5 stars. You can enjoy all you can eat delicious Indian foods from starter to dessert. Enjoy the goat or lamb until full, chicken and lot of curry's. The chicken biryani was so delicious. And also free to eat naan bread. It was only 20 dollars for weekdays. Make sure that you are hungry enough. Great staff hospitality, they are fast and helpful. For you Moslem people, this restaurant is HALAL”

The staff indicated it would may be a 30min wait, but it was only about 15 minutes! Good choice of pizzas for a great price, everyone happy with their selection.”

“Vegetarian options! Had a delicious lunch here. Two of us ordered Jasmine Tea, Twice Cooked Tofu, Stir Fried Potato & Capsicum, and a medium bowl of rice. We finished everything and felt good full, not too full. Their tofu is locally sourced! It was fried, puffy, soft, and soaked up sauce excellently. They have soy sauce, white pepper, and chilli oil available, too. The large menu offers Cambodian,Thai, Chinese, and some other cuisines. Lots of dishes non-Chinese people will know, and some you won’t! We ordered dishes from the Chinese menu and I’d recommend both. A Note on Meat — if you’re vegetarian or vegan make sure to ask for no meat, egg, and/or dairy. Not all dish names mention meat but lots of Chinese dishes often include meat even tofu dishes. The restaurant’s interior is the Shabby Chic I adore of Chinese Restaurants in New Zealand — lanterns, large tables with lazy susan’s, photos of menu items on the wall etc. Perfect!”

“One of the best pizza I've ever tasted before. 10/10 would eat entire pizza alone and not feel shame. The fresh ingredients, the flavor combinations, the artistry.. “I ran in here on a whim for lunch and said ohh gosh what am I getting into… the Rogan Josh was decent enough with a great amount of meat, gravy and rice! The naan bread was cold but who’s complaining it was still good! The girl who served me was smiling and helpful. The price was good too. Maybe all the bad reviews helped them get their act together?
