I bought an 8 piece pack of vegetarian sushi for lunch.Cost $12.50, At least 85 to 90 % of the ingredients were grated carrot, very little rice and 2 or 3 small pieces of capsicum in each one,. This place is ripping people off. There are better places to eat at Northlands. DO NOT RECOMMEND, THEY ARE AWFUL
The sushi was alright. Nothing to write home about, but nothing as bad as some of these other reviews. The mochi balls were pretty good, probably the only thing keeping this a 3 star instead of a 2 star, to be honest. As for the price, honestly I can't corroborate the prices other reviews have had. Guess it depends on how much you get, and what types of rolls you're getting?
I recently purchased sushi from Maki Mono Northland ,Papanui and I was shocked to find a piece of hardware embedded in my sushi. This is an extremely serious safety concern, as I nearly broke my teeth on it. I can't even imagine the potential injury if this had been swallowed. This incident raises significant concerns about the quality control and food safety standards at this establishment. I strongly urge others to be cautious and hope the management addresses this issue immediately to prevent any harm to future customers.
This is a joke, they are robbing people for just rice. I mean $8 for 4 little bits of chicken, and a half a hand full of sticky rice. What ever happen to when they were the best sushi place in nz.
Ordered Katsu chicken curry to take away. Got home to realise they left out the chicken. Curry and rice very nice though. Real shame about the forgotten chicken part.
Had the worst ever chicken donburi teriyaki. Absolutely no flavour at all left most of it would not buy again
Crispy chicken teriyaki - horrible looking, stringy chicken and bland sauce that didn't even taste of teriyaki. Horrible!
Hanging out for a healthy..ish alternative..what a joke. Had the over priced agadashi tofu..it was deep fried AND battered.. too weird and gluggy as. Plus to top it off..ALL the 'eat here' containers went straight into land fill!!! Wake up Nothland owners and Manki Mono. Looked up Northlands sustainable statement..utter rubbish..CCC needs to charge a hefty levy for these abusers of our planet...All in the name of P..for profit.
I bought spicy miso Ramen, not worth. No veggies, just 3 small pieces of chicken breast, not enough portion, of course not really friendly staff. Not value for money.
This morning I ordered my favourite the teriyaki chicken don, it was awful not at all like the others I have had. Something didn’t taste right and a bit to much ginger on salad. Very disappointed.
