Nice and cozy place to enjoy hot pot! I spent $25 dollars average. I think I is worth enough to pay this much for a meal. Staff was nice and friendly the ingredients were very fresh and good

Really yummy malatang hotpot, perfect flavours and good spicy broth. The man and woman were very kind as well :) We will come back next time we are in Christchurch

Food was excellent (was fun picking out the options to put in the hot pot) and was very well priced. The lady that served us was welcoming and kind. Overall I would highly recommend this place - going back there sometime this week!

I’m here in Christchurch for a 25-day trip. This is my favorite restaurant in Christchurch. You can choose your favorite ingredients and they make them into a hotpot for you. It’s so delicious that I feel like I could come every day! The staff are really kind, and I’ll definitely come back to eat here again!

I’d suggest going for their hotpot instead of having dumplings/lunch. Don’t go on a hot afternoon because it’s hotter than a glasshouse. Trying to be fair with rating, 3 stars is average and this was a bit below average.

Very nice, got a spicy hot pot, more spicy level. The lady is nice and the food is always yummy. Love coming here. The food is cooked perfectly everytime. One thing I would critique is the oil on the utensils. For example the cups always seem oily as well as the black spoons. The wooden chopsticks are fine.

Really disappointed. Got beef noodle soup and it was inedible. The beef flavouring was so artificial, it was like fantastic noodles beef flavouring and the meat was tasteless.

Went there with friends for the spicy hot pot and lamb stew. There really weren't choices in the fridge for hot pot (food looked not fresh/dull) so we only took a few stuff for lamb stew, and ordered some dishes, including beef noodles, dumplings and fried noodles. The lamb stew was ok. But all other food, the dumplings, beef noodles and fried noodles were way too salty. They didn't have enough bowls for us, which was annoying. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. For the same price, you get way better food somewhere else. If you are a lamb stew lover, suggest to only order the lamb stew. Don't order anything else.

We enjoy coming here. It's a good authentic taste and really reminds me of what I've seen in China. The idea is you pick what you want from a refrigerated cabinet, they weigh it, and you pay a set amount per 100g. You then say whether you want the spicy dry fried preparation (my favourite), or the schezwan soup style (my wife's favourite). They take it out the back and cook it. I think it's quite affordable. Quality does vary a bit, but I've always enjoyed it. I have experienced the undercooked bubbles in the bubble tea that others have mentioned, but that was just one time, and we've been 3 or 4 times. The environment is simple and low-key. Definitely not fine-dining. Again, very similar to what I've seen in China. If you want to try something different, and have an open mind, I highly recommend this place.
