“I went to their latest one day intro to stunt riding clinic and have now started lessons as I had such an amazing time! The instructors place a huge emphasis on safety and making sure that all horses are well trained and gear is to the highest safety standard. It is the perfect place for anyone to learn who is looking to get into the industry or is wanting to get out of their comfort zone in the safest possible environment. Definitely highly recommend!”

“I can’t recommend Moana enough! I call her the baby whisperer as my son warmed to her instantly and just adores her. She has very low ratios in her care so your child gets undivided attention for the majority of their time with her. She goes above and beyond for your whanau and uses a lot of Te reo Māori in conversation with your little one which is amazing if that’s something you’re wanting. Moana is fantastic at caring, entertaining and looking after children as she is patient and kind but most importantly it’s her passion! Your child will feel super comfortable in her presence and in a home based setting. I wouldn’t trust anyone more than I trust Moana to look after my child. 10/10 Moana you’re a rockstar!”

“The Waimakariri parks are becoming well known for the facilities and the care the local council workers take of them. Mowed lawns, clear walking tracks, rubbish bins, seating and entertainment for both young and old folks alike. We are lucky in the uses our council puts these otherwise empty spaces to.. we have dog parks, walking trails,aquatic park, softball diamonds , sports fields, a food forest, a freedom camping area, and so many other good uses for the locals. I would love to see them really splash out and put in a water play splash pad for the kids.”

Our son started knowing very little English and was quite shy, but with the support and care from the amazing team – especially in the Pūrerehua Room – he’s grown so much in confidence. “If you're worried about sending your wee one to preschool you will feel at ease sending them to Grow Active Essex St. All of the staff are so lovely and helpful. Our wee one has thrived being there. She has some eating and sensory issues and the staff have helped encourage her beautifully to try new things, and put up photos so we can see her progress. When you have to work, it's a comforting feeling knowing they're safe and happy where you leave them.”
